No E-mail Virus Can Stop Spike Spiegel.
2004-06-04 00:09:33
'Bout 2 weeks ago I prematurely downloaded an E-mail attatchment from "support@charter.net", saying it would help me with viruses in some way. Of course, at this point, viruses had screwed up my comp so bad that I was desperate. The virus didn't take effect until 2 days after downloading it. When I booted up XP, it didn't show the usual startup screen. Instead I got a smaller login name/password box. A password I obviously didn't have. Only one thing to do: go into DOS, delete the partition, and start fresh. The big worry I obviously had about doing that was NOT all of the AMVs I didn't have on disk (including my own), but rather all the Cowboy Bebop DVD footage I had ripped. Then it sunk into my think skull that that stuff was on the EXTERNAL 80-gig hard drive. So it was all intact.
So I just finished up re-downloading some vids and ripping the rest of Cowboy Bebop today. I'll do some minor storyboarding and hopefully get started on the vid real soon. I'm still occupied by job hunting and, can you believe it? Summer homework. Ugh.

First Professional Video Completed; New DVDs on the Horizon
2004-04-20 22:35:56
3 months of slacking off and asking for help had culminated 2 days ago.
My Armored Core video, "New Age of War", is 100% finished. I'm going to give the unveiling to my friends at my birthday party in 3 days, then I'm going to upload the vid here, then upgrade to XP. I can only hope that Premiere won't refuse to be opened like the last time I had XP.
Speaking of the birthday party (We're watching Ghost in the Shell, which I've never seen before), I'm hoping to get a boxset or two. Then I'll begin my completely legit professional ANIME music videos. Excitement... building... Computer... upgrading... Love for DBZ... dying....... quickly....

I procrastinate. Even on journal entries.

I got my DVD drive 2 months ago (Christmas, duh.). I have the memory chip. 128 Megs. And just last week, I got CHARTER PIPELINE! (I'd love to stick that pipeline up AOL's collective asses.)
I'm not upgrading to XP just yet, though; I noticed that every time I tried to open Premiere when I was on XP, it "performed an illegal operation and will now shut down". So just in case, I'm finishing up my current Armored Core video before making the upgrade.

I HAVE XP!
BUT AOL WON'T WORK!
How great is THAT?
... So I switched back to ME in the hopes that I can go online and find some instructions on how to do this upgrade RIGHT.

Still waiting for the copy of Windows XP and the Memory Chip to arrive. Nothing to do except watch other AMVs.
