  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Prince of Tennis + Richard Marx = Gay Prank Video Dynamite

Post by Kai Stromler » Tue Feb 03, 2004 12:35 pm

The videos:
I Love (the) PoT
Ryoma-sama e love Ian

The editors:
Kalium
Kai K. Stromler

The facts:
anime - Prince of Tennis
music - Richard Marx, "Right Here Waiting" (genki chibi mix)
format - Divx-compatible
filesize - ~27 MB total

The backstory:
The saga of these two-minute studies in deviance began in October 2004, with Kalium's idea to play a trick on the president of the anime club we belong to (no link for privacy reasons) at the tenth annual addition of Southeast Michigan's #1 anime mini-convention, Con Ja Nai. This trick would involve one of Ari's world-famous PoT yaoi outings, as our fearless leader I-- F-- is somewhat scarily obsessed with this series, which we were running at the time. For various reasons this did not come off, and given more time, boredom on my part, and enthusiasm on Kalium's, we decided to take our own shots on the PoT-yaoi complex.

These vids are what resulted. The inspiration for this project was a kind of dueling-banjos kind of thing in which we used the same song (with heavy remixing) and series, but with completely different perspectives and experience levels. Enjoy as you will; the audience at the last showing (where they got their proper debut) certainly laughed it up. Comments are of course welcome; this is Kalium's first so he could probably use some constructive ops. I'll personally just settle for a lack of letter bombs.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
