Quite original, lots of effort into this, but could have been better without the tv simulation, don't you think?

I used first person in my Masters video... >_>

Glad to see other people using it too, though, so I'll download this and get back to you with my thoughts.

Ok I just re-watched it and I absolutely hated the song choice, both on its own and in combination with the video, to the point where I think that was the biggest letdown. That being said, I couldn't enjoy it because of the audio/video mismatch.

The effects needed a lot of work like the TV sims, flashes of scenes and brightness etc. They were kind of unnecessary and blatantly used so they just didn't fit in well. I noticed at times the masks and certain scenes were moving around so I think you should have practiced motion tracking in After Effects before tackling this project.

I'm well aware of Vegas's limitations and TwilightChrono has After Effects so I was only suggesting that he should practice with it more for projects like these.

I like the attempt at something orginal but as I said on the originality thread in the general forums... Don't expect all original works to succeed. Hopefully you atleast learned a few things.

Apparently I don't see the same connection between the song and the sources you used with the way you used em cause I had a hard time enjoying this.

Honestly flashing footage from an anime during the 3D gaming sequences was just weird, especially because you did it on objects that made no sense sometimes. Like the metal freights for example. This could of been an awesome blackcat solo-source amv in my opinion judging by that last bit that you edited. This is why I don't think focusing on originality is a good idea...

Well I commend you for trying something new but that's pretty much it for this sorry. My thoughts on the amv would be a 2/5 but if I were to op this vid, I'd probably give you high points for effort and originality just so ya know.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Thank you for all your crit. I realize I still have a ways to go when editing with certain techniques. I worked REALLY hard on it, more so than any of my other vids. That being said, I tried my best. I will attempt to implement better ways of execution by the time I try something like this again. Yes, I wanted to go with originality but also, I edited using mainly internal sync which I think I needed work in. Even still, I enjoyed working on this, even though masking was a bit of a pain sometime.

Either way, thanks for taking the time to view it.
