Is there anything along those lines in anime at all? Or is that too detailed for them?
Looking for a show...

I've seen a scene - in one of those ultra-violent vids that get deleted as soon as they're uploaded - of a man's brains splattering all over the place after a bullet to the head.
If you can manipulate the scenes, all you'd need is a shot of a gun in a hand, and then the guy's face, the gun firing, and then his head exploding. So if you can find a scene of brains splattering, you should be set.
Maybe Kite, or Hellsing. I think there are a few shots of people being shot in the head (showing the impact and results) in Hellsing, but they're mostly vampire/demon sorts. Ask for an anime with heads exploding - that should get you the sort of footage you need.

There is a scene that will work from Giant Robo. I found the AMV I was talking about. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... php?v=1881

There's a scene in Chrono Crusade where a minor character demon shooting himself in the head
Where Mitsuko's mother commits suicide.
I can't think of a main character (or at least a major character that has a big impact on the plot) who actually kills himself/herself with a gun.
Then there's a scene from Kikaiderspoiler wrote:It's not really a suicide though. The bullet inside the gun actually helps the demon more than hurts it

Wow. You are being picky. If that scene of Kenji Murasame blowing his brains out does not work, good luck finding something better. He points the gun to his head, pulls the trigger, "BANG", you see red splurting out the side, his eyes go dead, casing shell ejects. About the only thing it didn't have that the drawing does is he didn't load and cock the pistol.Brolly345 wrote:Also, sorry, narcted, but the one from trigun doesn't really work the way I want it too. Maybe I'm being too picky about this one...

Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo
I'm not sure if anyone else has said this yet but there's this one anime series called Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo or Detective Kindaichi Jr.'s Cases. I seriously doubt you're going to find it anywhere but there's an episode called The Headless Samurai where someone shoots themself with a rifel. Actually, there's a lot of suicides in this series when I think about it...and I love this anime. I guess this means I'm a sick little kid.
Why don't you ask the question I've just answered?
