Eureka Seven AMV - Mad World (My First AMV)

Post by Codesta » Tue May 01, 2007 1:57 pm

Image

Video: Eureka Seven AMV - Mad World
Anime: Eureka Seven
Music: Gary Jules - Mad World, NIRGILIS - Sakura
Creator: Codesta

I'm new to this so I pretty much just copied how everyone else submitted there videos. This AMV is my first and will not be my last! I used the anime "Eureka Seven", so far my most favorite anime series ever. Than I used the (some what overused) song "Mad World" for the main AMV. The credits are twisted with scenes from the anime with the song "Sakura"; witch is the series 4th opening song. Be warned, there are spoilers in this AMV. Now just go and enjoy!

Also, please comment about it.

Eureka Seven is my favorite anime too Image

/me gets

EDIT: This video fucking rocked. And I'm usually very quick to criticize things like subtitles, watermarks, poor quality, etc...and even though your video suffered from all those problems (although the quality was actually pretty decent), your editing was EXCELLENT. This was a very unique, dark take on Eureka Seven, and I loved how you matched the really intense scenes to the slow music. It was a cool contrast. There were some problems, like the scene change at 0:56, but overall the mood of this video was fantastically tangible.

Also, you're credits went on for too long...and you stole the song I used in an AMV a couple months back, you bastid ;)

Like you said, a lot of people use this song, so don't expect much, but *me gets*

I've actually seen an E7 AMV to this song on youtube. <strike>Hope yours is better.</strike> =D

EDIT: OMG, that was way better.

Wow. You did a great job capturing the sad heavy moments in the show. You did an even better job minimizing subtitles. If it weren't for the visual quality, I'd give this video a full 5/5 + thumbs up. Then again you can't really help that since only half of the series has been released on dvd thus far. (replaces current favorite "mad world" amv on hard drive with yours)

Ah yes, and your credits, despite the delightful scenes and song choice, should never ever be that long ever again.

All I can say from my point of view is that your amv entertained me and that I didn't feel bored at all, although I "hate" this interpret and especially that song.

I think you already know that this count down at the upper left corner made the video look worse so I don't go into that. I guess this amv could have been a lot cooler if you had the dvd's.

Also you totally got me into this anime. I'll soon get it - *excitedaboutwatchingeureka7*

Wow, thanks alot. Yes, I do believe I got a little carried away with the credits. It just seemed to go with the music, that's all.

Yes, I tried to find as many scenes that would go with the song. I did download all 50 Eps. The ones I really wanted had some subs but they don't last that long and they are very small or short. Thanks for the reply.

You'll really enjoy the the anime. I watched all 50 in like 6 days. I just herd of the anime 1 and a half weeks ago aswell and already I'm a big fan.

Also, I'm still new to this forum. Does that mean something like "It was ok"?

I love Eureka 7, and considering that this is your first AMV, you did a nice job with it.
