the video really doesn't work for me mostly.
the chorus parts were way too lacking when it comes to track movement (other thing would be the actiony sequences, quite some cool stuff, especially the second one).
another big hit would be that I see these effects pretty much as standard effects in ae (like the fractal structures or whatnot) so this doesn't hold a candle up to bladebeat graffiti...
I still can watch it despite the major flow lacking.
6.5/10

P.S.: good encode btw

Thanks man.

Thanks again to everyone for watching and leaving comments. Even if ya didn't prefer the vid, those of you giving constructive criticism are a big help for me to adjust my style and fix future vids. Thanks everyone!
Thanks josh! Isn't the twinkle twinkle just lyric-sync perfection?SenshiMamoru wrote:Hawt video nancy. Loved the effects and the dark mood of the vid
Awesome jobtwinkle twinkle?

Thanks for the watch!Funky-kun wrote:nice use of color, blur effects and masking

No exception to the love or my last amv? Heh, thanks!hydrax wrote:Loved your last amv, and this was no exception.
I can see where you're coming from, the series is a hit or miss for reaching the viewer. Thanks for the look and I'll get on those kickass action vids asap.Warheart wrote:I think I looked into it as well, but still I don't really like it that much, maybe it's just that the anime was a pretty big letdown or it might be since it's overly drama but still somehow I can't find it to be that interesting. I think you're better of making kickass action videos. It actuall has the same problems as the series it's visually not very stunning although the effects aren't half bad nor does it have an good storyline. But I guess if I liked the anime I'd love the video. Btw. good song choice, I was suprised to see a Zeromancer video. Now get back to kickass action videos.
Unique FX ftw. Thanks Deshi.Bakadeshi wrote:nice job
enjoyed it. Some original effect ussage I havn't realy seen before, plus for that.
Yeah, the consensus of beta watchers leaned towards drama so I guess its a close percentage.JCD wrote:I enjoyed it pretty much, though it does better for me as an action video rather than a drama since the action scenes were too much present and in the foreground for that. Technically speaking, awesome job, syncage and fx are top-notch (once again =] )
Kick ass thanks!ScorpionP wrote:Kick ass vid! Colors, effects, everything's great!
Nice, so I get a 10 in re-reviewability? Thanks.KholdStare88 wrote:Excellent. Nothing more I can say besides that this is one of the AMVs that I could re-review in a long time. 5/5
Wasn't it?Kevmasterflashdeluxe wrote:really neat
I agree. Thanks!Fizziks wrote:Great work! The effects went nicely with the vid.
Didn't you read the VNS charter?Kristyrat wrote:You're always bringing new shit to the table, and of course this is no exception. Some really damn cool masking effects, not to mention the good clean use of shake and shine (I think >_>)
Very much a pleasure to watch, and definately a very solid video overall : up :

Thanks! You know your math. Mood FTW. FX FTW. VNS FTW.aerialesque wrote:Wow, very awesome. I especially enjoyed the work you did with the coloring throughout the video, and the rest of the effects were fantastic, as well. I loved the dark, depressing atmosphere...the way you paired the the scenes with the lyrics of the song was very effective. Awesome job, I really enjoyed this.
VNS ftw. :O
Don't we all?...but I gotta keep mixing things up and stay versitile with my editing and genres sometimes. Thanks for the watch!Kael_ wrote:I prefer Bladebeat Graffiti, but good job
My videos all pretty much focus around exploring different effect usage so I can't help it.Cornwiggle wrote:The only thing I didn't like was that there was a serious overload on effects. WAY too much. I'm not big on effects, but it was enjoyable. 3/5 for overload.

Ouch. I admit the BG FX were just adjuct fractal grdient, but I used them to present the images in their own space rather than having the distractions of the backgrounds in the anime. The real effort I invested was in the amount of rotoing and compositing I had to do on the characters themselves. But I appreciate your comments and thank you for your honesty!-Good for Nothing- wrote:the video really doesn't work for me mostly.

Haha, second that. This was still good in its own right though. I had just finished watching Gunslinger Girl and noticed that I couldn't find a decent AMV for it, then you come out with this. Great work!Bakadeshi wrote:lol once you do a video on the scale of blade beat grafitti, all future videos no matter how simple the intent was, will forvever be compared to it until you outdo it ;p

/me thinks kinda the same, but not because of the anime that put u in a pretty big letdown. It’s just..Warheart wrote: I think I looked into it as well, but still I don't really like it that much, maybe it's just that the anime was a pretty big letdown or it might be since it's overly drama but still somehow I can't find it to be that interesting.
Some people do like good timing in dramas, i don't. Unless that’s a video like “From the Ashes” lol GG and this song… hmh…
And, “The idea of this vid was to capture the innocence that the girls still had after being given their second chances at life as killers.”
i didn’t feel the thing in the video, sorry. =/ I know you tried, but… i watched it three times and that was it.
Good technique and effects though. But a thing with blurred figures like on 2:39-2:41 that 'lined up' with music… i looked 4a drama and you i guess tried to make it look like a drama, but mostly that was an action uknow.
