- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Three videos, all for the price of a single thread!
While I've remained an active editor since my first video's debut last june, I haven't been doing the best job of putting them on the org. So here are three videos that I held off on uploading, one because I was hoping the MEP would finish soon and two because I was waiting until their debut at Sakura-Con.
Section 9 Space Marines
Anime: Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
Song: Janne Roivainen - "Hangarmageddon"
Description: Created for the Doom MEP as a tribute to all the superficial elements of the Doom series- science experiments going wrong, hapless footsoldiers getting slaughtered and heavily armed individuals mowing down everything in their path. It's made to entertain, not convey any deep insights as to the source material.
Advent Fight Theme
Anime: Final Fantasy 7 (VII): Advent Children (OVA)
Song: Reveille - "What You Got"
Description: Yes, it's an advent children action video. Nevertheless, I hope you'll give it a chance- you could be pleasantly surprised. There's lots of lip sync, for starters.
Through Children's Eyes
Anime: Final Fantasy 7 (VII): Advent Children (OVA)
Song: Marilyn Manson - "Resident Evil Main Theme"
Description: Another advent children video, but this one is a little more unique; for example, Cloud never appears in it. This is the final version- the one that premiered at Sakura Con was a last-minute rough draft. The coolest compliment I got at the con was a girl who told me that this was the only Advent Children amv she'd ever liked.
Hope you enjoy! All comments and criticisms welcome.

dling..... will edit later

Ok Major complaints.... your final encode really stuffed up your visual quality (I think the fight theme beta looked cleaner lol)
GITS SAC video needs more cuts and sync in the fight scene some of it just runs on to much.
Both AC videos are different from what I've seen before...
fight theme - I still say it needs something more to make it stand out
... the lip sync looked slightly off... did it loose sync during your final encode? I really like the end credits looks much better with titles lol
hmmm that's about all i can think of at the moment

Thanks for the comments- flynnstudio, I still think you need to broaden your horizons a little more before you offer compliments like that, though it's still nice of you to say. Esrhan and Niotex, I apologize if I led you to expect anything revolutionary
. On a side note, could you recommend me any Advent Children videos similar to Through Children's Eyes? I've tried to find some in the past, but haven't had any luck beyond character profiles of Cloud like Pwolf's Forgiveness.

Every artist is individual and will acquire their own sense of delivery and style - this can not be judged subjectively by others - they either like it or they don't. Once you are above a certain technical level - style and taste is all your left with and that has to be individually cultivated regardless of peer review. In the end all that matters is what your fanbase thinks of it not what your peers think.
I can only give an example in music - for example the 'popularity' of Ferry Corsten led 90% of commerical 'trance' music to be judged against his work - it effectively killed the genre as anything unrecognisable a or too distant from 'corsten' sound was deemed to be 'crap' by the public.
So never give up Dagda - Keep on working and one day you'll break on through to the other side!...

Above all - above absolutely everything else - do you like it and is it entertaining!!
