Seriously, let's all try to be mature and get along here

I don't consider it an effect. You make it sound like I get to be the judge of these things. I do however know that the broadcasting industry considers the manipulations you made using rubber band an effect. In fact, I do believe I can find documentation citing it as the "rubber band effect." I may not know everything, and I do not pretend to, but I do know that if my broadcast professor was here, he could assure you that rubber band is an effect. And it wasn't the only effect in your video.DaCoolGohan wrote:There is no way rubber band is an effect, and thats all I used. If you consider that an effect than almost every single video ever made has effects. Why would I call this an effect video when I didn't purposely put any effects in it?
I can assure you it is the only thing I used. You are going to need to point out scenes where I had effects, because I added 0. If you consider rubber band an effect then I had that effect, but I don't consider it an effect so I will not call it one.Kionon wrote:I don't consider it an effect. also, who cares.Kionon wrote:I don't consider it an effect. You make it sound like I get to be the judge of these things. Emphasis mine.Matrox wrote:GENERAL RULE
The general rule to follow when setting up your realtime effects is that in any given segment, you can use up to two video clips (.avi files), and two single-frame graphics clips.
Each clip in the segment can have a fade applied to it, and still play back in real time. A fade can be any one of the following:
* A fade (video opacity) effect created using Premiere's Opacity rubberband.
* An Adobe Premiere Cross Dissolve.
* An Alpha Channel key applied to a graphics clip (with or without rubberbanding).
Note! If you apply a complex Matrox effect (such as a particle or blur) to a clip, you can use Premiere's Opacity rubberband to fade the clip, but you'll be limited to using only one additional fade in the same segment.
Should it? Because it doesn't. Hey and way to link to videos that are old that don't have him saying anything. I mean linking to a video that I made a year ago, and the thread that has been closed since then makes sense, as well as citing opinions of one person in a thread of my last video. I swear man if you think a 5 is good for sound quality on a CD rip encoded in AAC, while not stating why you thought so, makes a lot of sense. Oh wait, lets see some of your video encodes so we can compare to what you would have done. Wait you don't have those, now lets look at your overall given OP ratings, oh looks like they are all below 5 so I guess that makes sense then. You might say you can still comment like this, without backing any of it up with personal experience or anything else, and this may be true. But thats like asking what an idiot thinks about political issues.quadir wrote:I think Kionon's point was that he was commenting on the effects used on the video, but Gohan said his comments were not important because he claims no effects were used.
Also he should listen to Minion, not just in this thread but a quick search pops open all kinds of examples.
As to what I meant Gohan, I wrote an op before I posted here, it should explain a lot.
lol man, you are defending that rubber band thing to high hell let it drop already because I'm not going to ever believe you or change the categories. Also you can go search for effects, but anything you see was in the source footage, so have fun pointing out things I can just show timestamps of, in the movie, that are there.Kionon wrote:DaCoolGohan wrote: I can assure you it is the only thing I used. A fade is an effect. Rubberband opacity is the means to achieve that effect. It is an effect that can be found in several software suites. Just because I choose to believe the sky is not blue doesn't mean I am right.
As for the other effects, I'll need to do so in another post. I have to go pick up my roommate from work.
