Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Don't be surprised if you don't get a lot of comments. Hundreds of these types of vids are thrown up every day and not very many people are particularly interested in attempting to teach every last one of them on how they can improve. Most people are more invested in improving their own skills, not those of other people.

That said I started watching your vid...got about 32 seconds in and closed it. The quality was horrible, it was boring (seen lots of these 'dance' types before), the song didn't appeal to me, it used all sorts of random animes and seemed to be more of a montage of yer favorite scenes than it was attempting to really convey anything meaningful or interesting.

I'm sure the video has some appeal to the tweenage age bracket and no doubt your friends and family will think quite highly of it and that's important, but beyond that don't expect much interest or comments.

Well, your AMV was a lot better than my first AMV.

You need to get your hands on the DVDs if you want decent quality. Read the guides here on the org about using free programs to rip the footage from the DVDs.

Don't use scenes with credits. Don't use subtitles.

Don't get discouraged by what others here have to say.

I'll be looking forward to your next one.

As far as first videos go this is pretty good.
I also sugest you get your hands on the DVDs and read the guids on this site. Also work on your sync. sync is very important especially in dance videos.
Don't get discouraged. Practice makes perfect^^
