C: 29.6GB total 13.4GB free (Windows / main program partition)
D: 372GB total 143GB free (Media Drive)
E: 203GB total 109GB free (more storage - mostly AMV stuff)
G: 186GB total 178GB free (External Drive - used to be AMV and various media storage, but it's rather empty now)
Total capacity = just over 790GB
It seems good for now. I'm glad i upgraded my storage recently, because i plan to keep about 65GB of clips and project files hanging around for 2 more videos i'm doing to the same series (the number will rise after i clip the 3 discs i haven't gotten to yet), but i have no idea when i'll get around to any of it. I also don't have the time or desire to burn the 40+ DVDs of stuff i have sitting around that needs to be archived and indexed.

I have a 250 GB HD, but that's as much devoted to video editing as it is various downloaded/ripped entertainment media. Heck, my current project only takes up about 50 gigs, and another 150 go to the other stuff. However, it does give me issues if I want to work on multiple projects.
Ideally, I'd like two HDs. My current 250 GB drive, and probably another one of the same size. My media would dominate one drive, and I could use the other solely for editing. I don't technically have the money to do that right now, though. Wishful thinking. While 500 GBs would be nice to have, I used to edit on a 40 gig HD, so I feel lucky just to have this one now.

See, that's my plan too. I want to get to the point where everything is backed up on harddrives so I don't have to rip.BasharOfTheAges wrote:I'm glad i upgraded my storage recently, because i plan to keep about 65GB of clips and project files hanging around for 2 more videos i'm doing to the same series (the number will rise after i clip the 3 discs i haven't gotten to yet), but i have no idea when i'll get around to any of it. I get in line right after Sarah, with only 80GB on a main drive and 120GB on externalSarahtheBoring wrote:160G. I don't generally work on more than one or two projects at a time.
So how many inches is that?

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Admitedly though, I have 2 external drives totalling 240 gigs of space, plus another harddrive that I hook around whenever I need to for back up purposes. At any one time, I generally have about 50 gigs free total on all these drives. I don't burn things to CDs or DVDs either. I tend to go in these massive cleaning sprees where if I haven't opened up something for a few months then shift+del it goes.
