I actually enjoyed the second video. Visual quality was good for a wmv, did you use DVDs for this? One problem is I had to use windows media player to play it, it was realy choppy and jerky in all my other prefered players. I'm assuming that was an issue with the WMV codec, maybe you used a recent version thats not yet supported in the other players? I dunno.... Other than that, editing was pretty solid, nothing fancy, but good enough to get your point across. good job.

thanks bunches. ^_^ no, i didn't happen to use dvds... i plan to buy them though, i like host club so much. i just used plain old wmv and the free wmm that came with my computer. i'm sorry it wouldn't play right, i'm not sure why it wouldn't. i can watch it on my winamp.

I finally got around to downloading and watching these.

The videos were overall pretty good, but I'd recommend them primarily to Ouran HSHC fans. Of the four, I liked the second one the most (The Hitachiin's Girl). The lipsync does need more work on consistency, i.e. it would be nice if Haruhi or the twins don't appear to be singing lines. The first one (Girl and the Sea), I liked for the lyric sync and imagery, but I couldn't get into the music much.

And I also miss the amusing off-topic posts. Especially since I think I had a hand in derailing this thread.

Actually, I blame the OTHER Haruhi.

err... yea... I agree with willen, Hichatwins was best one in my opinion too. (<-- attempts to saves offtopicness)

I had to catch up on the Ouran episodes before watching these. Although there was only a tiny bit in these videos that I hadn't seen at the time of my original (baleeted) post.

thanks a lot. i was hoping that people would only think the scenes that actually looked like lipsynch were lipsynched, which is what happened. i didn't realize it might be mistaken until later.

i watched some of "the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya," at last. i do quite like it, and the animation is top-notch. even if the plot doesn't move very quickly at all, it's extremely entertaining. that view reminds me a lot of "azumanga daioh," which i also enjoy. i find myself relating to suzumiya haruhi, as well as fujioka haruhi. i suppose i, personally, am somewhere in between the two.
