Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

More notable bits really did look odd though (like at 2:03-2:07 "lets pretend you're mine" .. lipsync was good, but it didn't look like she was actually singing the words, much more loosely miming) when they were focused on. Some other bits were far better though (such as 2:40-2:43 "forever", very nicely matched there), so where some bits are quite weak other bits are very strong and make up for other downfalls.
Yea, it wouldve been possible with some frame by frame editing.... quite alot of frame by frame editing, in photoshop, but didn't have the time for that, unless I wanted the vid to be released next year ;p (I think I wouldve gotten tired of the vid before then)

I am aware of some of the movements not quite matching the words being said, That too is thanks to Kyo-Ani's attention to detail, wouldve required maticulate photoshoping to do that any better. thanks for the detailed feedback on the lipsync though, your the first to say exactly what was wrong with it ;p
Some of the clips did seem quite out of place, some a lot less relevant than they could've been, especially a lot of them between the choruses when the beat was less prominent.
are you speaking of scene selection or the editing?
I do realize scene selection isn't very literal in alot of places, I had to go with stuff that loosely fit the lyrics for some of them. Its already dificult to make a serious romance video to a couple that never openly admits feelings to each other in the series ;p
End of it seemed very predictable too, and quite rushed, but not too disappointing.
If you mean like I packed too much together in too short of a time at the end, then I did that purposely, I wanted the end to be a bit caotic and then end suddenly with him dropping out of bed.
Overall not too bad though - I enjoyed watching it through, a nice happy video to watch with a good song and good beat. :)
Thanks a bunch for the detailed thoughts on the vid. :)

Technically good but wasn't very interesting to watch. There seemed to be a real disconnect between the song and the footage. Most of the time I was thinking 'is he actually doing an upbeat song with multiple scenes of a guy hanging his head down?' and other similar thoughts. It probably didn't help that you added more disconnect by having the band footage as if it were a 'real' music video. While normally that would work in this case it just increased the feeling that if I took the video and slapped it to a totally different song then all it'd take to work just as well is a slight adjusting of the music sync. Of course, I haven't watched the anime yet but I didn't get the feeling this was a video only meant to be 'gotten' by fans of the show.

As others pointed out the lipsync was really a problem. Her movements just don't flow right and the various effects you do to the band scenes amplified that. Overall I think Ashlee Simpson did a better lipsyncing job on SNL a couple years ago, at least she had a cute little embaressed jig to go along with it.

Actually that was ment to be humerous, and ya only those who know the show will realize why I used them. So in a way, yes, the video is ment to be enjoyed by fans of the series.

I've already explained about all the lipsynch stuff, so i'm not going to go into that again.

Thanks all for the positive feedback. ^^
