stuff on their main page will violate sometimes too... O.o

and some companies HAVE been contacting the tube and asking them to take down their content...

Yes, that's what makes "illegal acts" the catch-all reporting criteria.

2nd one's down, first one should be down soon enough.

If someone just wants to save me (and anyone else that's interested) the work, we can just do an updated mass-listing of things to flag. Not that hard, and i don't mind clicking on a few links/dropdown boxes now and again. I'm talking just an explination and links. No rambling on and on, no arguing, just links and a "you know what to do" assertion. Topics like this keep getting locked because the same conversations keep going on... so why not simply remove the conversations and get down to the business of flagging shit - which is really what the people that start these posts want done in the first place.

Before everyone gets all worked up and goes on a holy crusade because the footage and music that they stole is now being stolen from them keep in mind that some creators actually put their videos on utube themselves. Just because Dedicated to Sammy is on the tube doesn't mean the creators of it are against that (to pick a semi-random example I happen to know). Why don't you guys just climb down off those high horses and put away the pitchforks and torches. If a creator cares that their video is being swiped they'll notify the tube that it violates the TOS themselves. If they don't mind, well, no reason for you to go around getting pissed off in their place.

I'm following that and only doing that if I know the creator doesn't want it there. In general I try to give a warning and then do something, most times I've seen they just take it down if it's pointed out.

Who's getting pissed? I'm perfectly capible of emotionless acts of what some would call cruelty. There's no emotion involved - it's just going through the motions. :? I'd go through and flag everything if it weren't for the very reason that i don't want to flag an editor's own copy. Stolen work where the creator doesn't want it there is what i wanted to flag. And multiple flagging gets it done faster in my experience. (I don't think they actually verify all the videos, but rather delete the flagged ones when they get a certain number of flags).
