Awkward situations as an editor...?
I was talking with one of my roomates on AIM the other day and he divulged to me that some of his girlfriend's friends were really into AMVs and they ended up talkign about what they liked and what they had seen reciently. One of the topics of conversation turned out to be the last video I made - so my roomate ended up telling them "yea, my roomate made that" and they responded somewhere between disblief (thinking he was just screwing with them) and amusement. I'm thinking this could have been a lot more awkward if I was actually there.
So my question to you is this: Ever have someone randomly start talking up one of your creations without knowing it was you that made it? Or maybe they knew you were kinda involved in the hobby and asked if you'd seen this or that and it was actually something you did?

My friends know i'm into AMVs, and one day in our media class, i spotted one of my friends watching Euphoria on the youtube, and he pulled me over and started ranting about how awesome it was, and then he asked me if i'd seen any of the guys videos. I'm like "uh.... i'm kinda working on a video with him at the moment : \ "
But as for people seeing my videos and commenting, not really : \

I've had similar situations at amv contests where people after the contest would be outside watching vids on their computers or playing some type of game and start talking about vids. I was playing a card game while I was waiting for the Voice Acting panel and the people I was playing cards with start talking about the videos at the contest. They started talking about one my videos that I had in at the contest. I didn't say anything I just listened in as they discuss about my vid. (which was in action) When they asked me what video I liked in the contest I went with one of the Drama videos. So they didn't know it was me until closing cermonies when I got the award for the vid.

I've had that happen a few times, especially in regards to Corn or Quid Pro Quo (though also once or twice with Everyone is Different). It's flattering to overhear stuff like that, and I usually keep quiet unless a friend also hears and lets the cat out of the bag. It's enough to know that people enjoy the videos.
