I got one for my first video saying "I pity your mother for breastfeeding you"

People are nuts, what can I do?

Just to chip into the conversation: I think that stupid imbecils who post imbecilic sexual comments about an assexual production in a way that offends the intended audience should, in fact, be punished. However, I don't think that telling the victim to deal with it, or in Arigatomina's words (and I loved the example so much it's now in my signature) to shut up and enjoy it isn't really displaying a hands-off attitude (of which, btw, I would disapprove). It simply means that even if we assassinate this person, and the next person, and the other twenty after that that call you a promiscuous crackwhore because you mis-synced one beat in your video, the twenty-third guy might go unpunished, and the only possible solution will be shutting up and taking it like a bitch. Does it suck? Yes. But there's just too many people around here for the admins to go around tracking down morons. If they did that, the site would stop working.

Shit, godix has me all figured out.

godix wrote:3) Sexual harassment is not illegal. A man can walk down the street and ask each and every woman he passes to show him their tits without being arrested. It's astounding what the right to free speech allows isn't it? Of course, I'm talking about verbal sexual harrassment. Physical sexual harrassment is a different issue but it's impossible to be physically harrassed in a QC. Incidently, the original post didn't cry sexual harrassment, it was about 'vulgar, offensive quick-comments of a sexual nature'. Do not confuse the terms 'disgusting' and 'sexual harrassment', they have very different meanings.
Um, actually in most states you can be arrested for that for disturbing the peace. At least in the state I live in that also counts as solicitation and is very frowned upon.

Anyway, on point, despite the fact that 90% of the anonymous comments that I get are exactly as they would be had someone signed them there is abuse. And people will be assholes and decide to use them for that purpose, that's how any form of communication that is anonymous tends to get. It doesn't mean that anyone who gets those comments should just sit back and ignore it. We have someone here who is expressing concern over an issue that probably will need to be addressed at some point.

As for what Gepetto said, I agree that you can't deal with every idiot who does something like this, but something needs to be done to make it clear that it's not the way the system is intended to be used. I can just imagine a n00b thinking that perhaps the quick comments are meant to give insults that you wouldn't want to say with your own name. A simple note within the range of "keep it clean folks" under "comments are anonymous" might sound superficial, but it makes the stance of the site clear that harassment
using the quick comments is not okay.

Would posting the offending QC be too much to ask for? It must be better than two quadriplegics being pushed off a cliff by a paraplegic.

To be honest, I'd rather not. The person who posted it identified themselves, or at least, put someone's name on it. One of the reasons I want the matter traced is so that someone's reputation isn't damaged for something they didn't do. The last thing I want to do is claim that someone was using vulgar language if they weren't the person who actually posted the comment.

You're fat. You're asian. You suck at editing. You writing long, rambling, and pointless video descriptions. It's not like figuring you out was difficult...

Solicitation is offering money. Asking for sex without money is just asking for sex. Hell, some colleges REQUIRE there to be a specific 'do you wanna' question and a yes answer or else the guy can be nailed for rape later. In a weird sort of way, walking down the street and asking every female to see her tits is just an overly broad way of following the rules.

What kind of fucked up star scale did we start here? "I give that four armless and legless gimps being pushed out of a plane without a parachute or with a parachute even, it's not like they pull the ripcord" "Nah, that video sucked, the best I can give it is two special olympians crapping their pants in the hundred meter waddle"

Just leave out the name. I admit that all this discussion has made me curious about the message that brought it up.

Anyways, it's an important subject and we should know what kind of un-gentlemanly manners are being practiced in these servers.
