awsome video, but the ending would leave people who didn't see berserk going "wtf?"
(though the normal ending was wtf anyways unless you read the manga instead)

KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.

I actually ment more like the video seem to just go along at a slow pace without getting my addrenaline going, wich I guess I wasn't expecting for a metal vid.Otohiko wrote:Just curious, what do you mean as pacing? The only thing I could think to complain about is the fact that the pacing is kinda slow to begin with, but there wasn't any change in pace from start to ending, to kinda keep me from loosing interest in the video. This could just be due to the nature of the song though. I started to get distracted towards the middle of the video unknowingly ;p
I certainly understand that the song itself is somewhat evenly structured, but... well, at least from the editor's perspective, there was a huge difference in the pace between sections. The middle 30 seconds took about 5 times longer to edit and the clips there are at least 10 times shorter on average. I was hoping that'd translate into good pace buildup - or is that another kind of pacing?
But I misjudged it yesterday anyway.... part of this is because I just watched the video when I was tired and half falling asleep from a long day at work... remind me not to comment on vids in that state again ;p

Ignore my first post. that was a great vid. ;p

I think those little distortions are something inherent to cel animation. They were in Eva as well, last I recall...
Guys, sorry I can't address each one of you right now due to shortage of time, but thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
It might be extremely lucky that I released it instead of holding off for more betas. Today, about 24 hours after I uploaded the video, my computer fried
(don't know if the HD survived yet or not).
$400 down the drain, but the rawk lives, etc.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I thought your sync was strange though. I especially mean the passage when you synced the rhythm guitar instead of the drums. I would have prefered if you had used dissolves instead of cuts in a lot of passages. The song is to be concidered as a meatl-ballad. I think the cuts were too hard and abrupt for it.

Yeah, now this is nice. Pretty simple not very flash but the combination works suprisingly well, since actually you really found the fitting scenes for the song actually one of the best lyricsyncdriven amvs I've seen in a while. The editingsync is a bit weak from my point of view but I'm for 100% sync so don't be bothered by that but in some places I really tought "how can you leave out that drum roll it would have been so much fun to sync it". Still I have to say that the charme of that song no matter if original or cover didn'T lose any of it's appeal. Btw. where did you cut the audio, the albumversion is 6:00 and without searching for my CD I can't tell, so I guess you made it quite good (it just seems that you cut something at the beginning). Yep I guess I'll keep it for a while, and just to let you know it's my faves since Wasteland. Keep up the good work
.
