Herzwärts
Full Title: Herzwärts (Wird Es Still)
Artist: Natalie Imbruglia
Song: Honeycomb Child
Category: Horrordrama
This is a kind of mixture of storytelling Drama and Gothic "Horror". If you're not the type for watching long videos, I recommend you don't download this. I tried to keep the calmness of the movie in my video, so it's not very action packed, there aren't real "horror" scenes in there either. It's just that I wouldn't call it a plain drama because it's got a nice horror-esque feeling to it.
The song used is one of my personal favorites so I hope that it's not that bad of a video to you. Video quality got its flaws here and there but that's because I tried to keep it at a small filesize (see video infomation page).
You can read about all other details on the video, the concept etc. in the link above. I hope you can enjoy it at least a bit. Have fun.

Thanks man, I appreciate the good comments. And I guess when a video is using Angel's Egg as a source disturbing and weird are things it's supposed to be in some way :>Niotex wrote:I saw this anime some time ago had me spacing and did it again this time with your video... i cant realy say if i like or dislike it but its just weird and i like it for that its kinda disturbing enspecial if you know whats going down with the egg/soldior and such.

Like promised a nice little post. So first of all like I already told you I have never seen that Anime before and I hate Natalie Natalie Imbruglia, but this amv wasn't half bad. I can't really say it can surpass Farewell Letter in any matter but I like the build up to the atmosphere since the song fits the imagery quite well. About the editing I have to say that it's actually not as good as normal since you sometimes messed up the sync of the Xylophon (or however it's written or translated in english) since you stepped aside and catched the piano instead. But the sceneselection and the linear storytelling are very convincing. And like Foxy already mentioned the end is very cool, I like the fact you didn't show the image while she was screaming since her voice is already enough to be scared and the black screen supports it in a nice subtle way.

This is so emo... >_<
Never seen that anime. Especially not in an amv.
That really kept me interested how it will continue. Was a bit sad that it ended that way. But that must be my preference with Mahou Shoujo and happier stuff in general.
Btw: You tried hard with compressing, but filesize is still XBOXHUEG imho (long very dark video, lots of black fades). If I hadn't known your previous videos I propably would have skipped this video.

Just great, I really liked it. You have a talent for this kind of videos and Im glad you made another one. My first thought while seeing it was: "Distortion of the mind". The video has quite a weird atmosphere, but you used very atmospheric scenes and made it up really well. The video is touching to the highest degree. If one loves melancholy this vide4o is the right thing to watch. I think it was great. 5/5.

Hey, you know that I'm not the type for action synch in terms of instruments etc. and when it comes to a song that's got this many instruments and direct synchs in it it's not a wonder to me that I wasn't able to keep it perfectWarheart wrote:About the editing I have to say that it's actually not as good as normal since you sometimes messed up the sync of the Xylophon (or however it's written or translated in english) since you stepped aside and catched the piano instead.

I'll try harder from video to video though I promise :O
Thanks, yeah and without the black screen it wouldn't really have been an ending at all, just some kind of useless outro since I'd have to fade to black after already fading to black before. Yeah I know, I'm not the technical guy, never been. So I try to keep it at 70MB so it's not too shocking and not too lossy. And no...I don't wanna use mp4 whatever, those videos don't even play fluently on my PC sometimes =/. Thanks for your opinion though, I appreciate it.Streicher wrote:Btw: You tried hard with compressing, but filesize is still XBOXHUEG imho
I know, I don't make a big show off out of my videos, when I do them, I do themTormentor wrote:This came out of nothing....

Nice, your mentioned aspects are those that I'm always going for when I'm doing videos of that kind so I'm happy that it always seems to reach you that way.
