  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

[AMV] Now And Then, Here And There - Runaway

Post by Dexter86 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 11:57 pm

Yeah,
I feel like the #1 attention whore right now.
Whatever, I usually keep a very low profile, but my recent videos do hardly get any hits and that's lame too, since I need ages to finish a project usually.
(Every once in a while I'm in the right mood, but I drop so many projects...:()

This one is well explained already, just follow the link. I'd like to add though, that editing with .vob files really kills my machine after while, it was a major pain in the ass to get this thing going. Next time: back to the roots.

Hey, I didn't know you were still hanging around the org! I don't know if you remember me, but you helped me find hosting for my vids back when I was a newb. And I remember watching your "One Fine Day" vid a while ago, too.

About this video, I thought it was pretty good. Definitely one of the better NTHT vids I've seen. It looks like you've gotten better over the years. Timing was nice and solid, scene selection was good, and some of the effects were pretty interesting. 4/5 :)

Hi there! Of course I remember you, that was quite a fun time with that "borrowing" space from the club-pages. :)
Fortunately a-m-v.org has local webspace now. (good ol' urbiaclub is gone for good by now :'()

Back then I didn't know you are like one of the top amv creators on here. (Not that it would've made a difference)
However, it's nice to see you're still fully at it too, I gotta educate myself in "silver_moon amv-history" now.

8-)

OMG it's YOU :D :D

Seriously, I'm so glad to see you're still active, the improvement you made over your latest videos back then was something which would be too sad to be just left alone :D

Good job on the video, sometimes the effects felt a bit unneccessary, but it works as a whole.

Und komm öfters mal auf amvde und poste das video da *shotgun auspackt* :p j/k wär unheimlich cool, wir sind ne richtig nette gemeinschaft geworden da :]

@JCD

Hope that wasn't too much of a German lesson now.

I certainly wasn't at the time. I have gained much more experience since then.

Well, every video I've ever seen to this anime has been horribly depressing. So, out of curiosity, I downloaded yours. It was...mildly depressing...but in a good way. ^_~

This song has kind of a strange beat to it, but you matched it really well. There wasn't really any kind of a pattern in your editing, and I found that unpredictability very refreshing. Great job!

Thank you very much!
I like how McCready (lead-guitarist) plays with delay on that particular song, and I really tried hard to catch the mood created by that. As for editing-patterns: I like to switch from matching the beat to matching rhythm or melody a lot, glad to hear you noticed.

OH! was it THAT One fine Day??? That video was badass ;p SWEEEEET and now a vid from my favorite anime -_- good choice ;p well... Awesome vid as well! look for ANOTHER op from my org personality, Sub0, in the near future lol.

I'd be honored if you'd check my (Knowname, me) NATHAT vid out if your as pasionate about NATHAT as I am -_- I'm also working on a NATHAT series that I won't go into hear, but pm me if interested. Yours is much faster and 100% less boring and cleaner though lol.
If you do not think so... you will DIE
