Kaleido Star - We Believe (Uplifting drama)

Post by SarahtheBoring » Sat Jan 28, 2006 10:58 am

We Believe
Anime: Kaleido Star
Song: Duran Duran - What Happens Tomorrow
Genre: Uplifting drama

And nobody knows
What's gonna happen tomorrow
So don't let go
Now we've come this far...

Optimism, acrobatics, determination and teamwork - lots of fuzzy shoujo Stick To Your Dreams-ness. And unabashed pop music. Yay.

This uses the first series (still waiting for the second to come out here, woohoo!) and has some medium-strength spoilers, but no industrial-strength. It focuses mostly on Sora and Layla, since hey, they're the stars.

Enjoy. 8-)

:O Sweet video, it really got a flow going. Some cuts, mostly during the action sequences, seem to be a little off, but nothing too bad :)
 for using bits from the 2nd season :D

If the mood synch and scene selections are as good as they were in the beta, then it'll be a keeper. Getting. :)

It was actually all from the first season - the second season hasn't come out here yet, just the first disc.

Yeah, it's almost the same as the beta; I just threw the guy out of the second verse and most of the solo.

Thanks, all! :)

Pretty nice vid. The timming was great in some areas, but felt a little bit off in others. Like it was real close but off by a split second, enough to notice it.
I also noticed it seems like you don;t time all your scene cuts to the music, or at least not to prominant parts of the music. I think the flow would be even better if you did time all the cuts to occur right on a highlight beat, verse change, or drum hit in the song. I noticed a few on screen action things (like Sora landing on something for instance) that I would have timed to a hit in the music too that you left untouched. Realy just minor things that make the video lack a polished feeling. Otherwise, you had a nice flow as far as scene selection, mood and lyrical synching goes, and the video as a whole was very nice. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

I liked this a lot. I'm glad Yuri got axed cause it helped with story flow. This will be on repeat for a bit. I think I'll watch it again now actually. Good job.
