Light the Fire Within

Post by silver_moon » Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:54 pm

I just finished a new drama video. It's an inspirational/sentimental video that's been in the making for a while, so I hope you like it. ^_^

 :o It is very inspirational!...but I can't do anything! I sit here at my computer, go to school, and go to work. I'm not involved in any mission to save the world or win the championship unfortunately. It might, however, inspire me to get off my ass and do something.

I couldn't believe that it was LeAnn Rimes...it seemed like the kind of song that Celine Dion would do: the overly sugary hope/dream song...AND WITH THE KIDS! I thought it was a bit wierd to have nice looking CG game cutscenes, decent quality scenes from a recent show, and lesser-quality scenes from the 80's. Those are the only things I can gripe about, and the first one is just an opinion, so you can disregard that.

Anyways, besides that stuff, that was great! Great emotional power, scene selection, timing, video quality, audio quality, etc. etc..... *Insert Lone Wolf's usual response to one of your videos here*

Maybe this should inspire me to be less lazy and write everything out.............NAH!

Nice timing, effects, and scene choice. Don't have much else to say except I really loved it! =)

A very nice vid to be sure. I really enjoyed watching it. It made me want to go out and 'do' something, but well...when you are stuck at home and it's 2am what can you do, right? :?

yep great video. very inspirational. loved it when I betad it.

Yea its hard to blend CG with anime, but I thought you did a good job with the transitions here. I agree Sailor moon did feel a bit lower quality wise though compared to the others, but you can't realy help that save not useing it at all.

Did you change anything from the beta that looked like a final? Ah what the heck, I'll get it again anyway.

hehe I agree ^^

Nicely done though, I'm not usually a fan of cg and anime being mixed, but you did it quite well. Great timings and clip choices ^^

*thumbs up*

Perhaps I should've put a warning: the vid is quite "fluffy". :)

I know the Sailor Stars footage in particular was pretty low-quality (though I tried to filter it to make it look decent)... but it had a lot of pretty scenes with light in them, so... yeah. And I mainly used FFX in there because I really wanted to use that one scene of Yuna singing in a particular spot, and having just one CG scene in the whole vid would've been weird.

Out of curiosity, do you mean the very first scene in the vid? What was cheesy about it?

I changed a few minor things that you probably won't notice (but that were bugging me), and I worked on a couple of your suggestions that you mentioned.
