SAMVs has been painful, but now is almost done getting pieced together on my computer. I think that lack of interest and other such factors made this project take a hell of a long time...
However, I DO want to run another MEP. So here's the deal... I have SEVERAL ideas for MEPs, and I am gonna toss them out right here in this thread. What's a good idea? What's a bad idea? What would YOU be interested in? Please, respond and let me know!
1. AMV Heaven
OK, do not say anything yet. And please, do not say anything about AMV Hell Ripoffs, because this ISN'T. I had this idea LONG before AMV Hell existed. However, it was NOT a MEP idea back then, nor did it have a title. The title, yes, is a nod to AMV Hell.
OK, basic premise is this...
Have you ever had a song that was just absolutely PERFECT for an anime... but the problem is, only one part of the song was perfect, and the rest of the song just didn't work? Like, this one verse, or the main refrain, just work perfectly.. but you could NEVER make a full AMV to it. Now, we can.
Think AMV Hell, but instead of it being bad, painful, and all-around torturous... every video is bright, witty, fun, perfectly dark, beautifully demonic, tear-jherkingly romantic, etc... whatever theme you have for your little AMV Heaven snippet would work.
2. The NIN Project
At first, I wanted to do something called The Broken Project. and do a MEP of the whole NIN album "Broken". But then, I thought to myself.. why not make a custom mix of NIN music, past to present, and make that into a MEP? That is what this MEP would be. I'd probably mix in a couple songs per album, and the project WOULD be somewhat long, but very rewarding. NIN has some absolutely awesome music, be it lyrical or instrumental.
3. The DDR MAX Project - Sectional
Just like it sounds. Basically, DDR Project 5. However, the idea behind this is that we borrow some knowledge from the past. After all, this is a wise thing to do. Look at the way "AniMix" was produced. It was done in 5 chunks. Basically, I want to take the DDR 6th Mix Nonstop Megamix and cut it up into 5 chunks, just like that. We would do it one chunk at a time.
Let's say Editor A wants to do a song from chunk 1, but also woudln't mind doing a song from chunk 2. Can he do both? Sure. It's possible.
Let's say that Chunk 1 goes up for signups, and Editor A gets in.
Now, chunk 1 is done, and chunk 2 goes up for signups. But here's the catch... editors who worked on chunk 1 have to wait a week to get in on chunk 2. After a week, if all the slots aren't full, editors from chunk 1 can hop in for chunk 2.
If things happen in such a way that there's a track that NOBODY wants to do in one of the chunks (This is possible, there is one very hated song in this mix.) I will probably just do that one myself. So no worries, do not panic, you probably won't have to edit that one... and you DDR fans out there, you KNOW which song I mean.
[Edit: READ THIS OK, so if there's already a comment in here saying "Not DDR again!" etc... there's no need to repeat it or reiterate it. I need to see if there'd be interest, not disinterest. You can certainly say that you'd not be interested in it, but I do NOT need to hear all about why it shouldn't be done. I honestly think that it SHOULD be done... but hey, maybe that's just me. That's the point of this thread.]

So OK, there's 3 ideas. What do you all think? This IS an interest bearing thread, after all.
(ps - Watch for Short AMVs for Short People REALLY SOON
