Much thanks to all for feedback, it keeps things very interesting.
Valid point though. Characterless character. Paradoxical but makes some sense in the context, or at least as much sense as the video should.
...unless Frank Zappa, Jasper-Isis, and those few mugs of Kvas are considered drugs nowadays or something
On the other hand, there's plenty more related visual ideas where that came from, whether that's a good thing or not...
(and um... about that hamburger...
)
The video is far more exciting on the outside than in its' underlying concept... which probably says enough already

Wouldn't the guy count as a character? He shows up repeatedly, such as when he passes through the door or the food scene.

I reiterate, this video was not edited under any influence whatsoever...inthesto wrote: Otohiko smokes DRUGS

Now there's proper and critical preparation!Kai Stromler wrote:Expect Jaeger-driven commentary within 24 hours -- somebody drank all the Steiger at work, so I obviously can't watch this till I get home.

mmm... to some extent I think it'd defeat the purpose for this particular video - and displease the ghost of Zappa.Orwell wrote: I hope you continue on with this concept, the plot has thickened, now mold it into the masterpiece it will become.
Now I know why my hamburger tasted funny earlier

You might well be disappointed then, at least after reading the commetaryWarheart wrote:Ok, watching it wihtout having read the comment or smoking something makes not much sense. I guess I have to change these facts to at least get a part of it.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Hey kids! It's that time again! Let's watch Kai speed-drink and try to write coherently!

In order to prepare for thsi video, I did three shots of Jaeger in lee than ten minutes. I don't think I got drunk from this, but the typos in this post (construncted at the time and under the influence) may slightly gainsay that.
This video is not as demanding in its chemical requirements as the last Oto work i reviewed while trashed. But alcohol consumption at least does bring out some hidden stuff in this video -- the use (intentional or otherwise) of affter images, as the screen rapidly drops to blac and the impression of whatever was there remains in tyour retinas, affecting the next shot or at least what you take into it. The bicycle and some aspects of the clockk (I think, the clock was late into the second pass through the video and I don't seem to recall much if any picture detail in the first part of the shot) stood out in this regard -- at least as far as i was in ured to remebering things.
This video can be enjouyed impaired or sober. I probably would have really liked it after Friday night at Wacken, when I was sweating three liters of beer in two hours. However to be tur stoner entertainment, it would need to be longer, or come with advice to paly it on repeat. It doesn't need codecs to be deinstalled for hyper-mega-colorblocking nigtmate visual value like RPBP1 -- or maybe I djust didntt' have a system like that available and did not discover such. Regardless the earlier 4/5 is accurate, and I need to get down some fluids and go to sleep, or I'll have a tar-rtearing headache tomorrow morning when I'm supposed to post this.

As far as unintentional drunk-writing humor goes, the above is fairly tame. But if I had downed all the Perlenbacher in my fridge prior to viewing the video and made the same commitment to leaving in typos, this would resemble line noise a lot more than it would commentary. Prior rating stands -- two thumbs and a large glass of Jaeger and OJ up.
("tar-rtearing"? What the hell is that? I can't even remember what I meant by that one.)

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

I'm watching it...
and it's like....
surfing channels on the Alfred Hitchcock network. Lots of suspense... then: nothing. This is another one that loops almost without knowing it. (assuming full screen of course)
I compared this to watching a pot of soup cook, but not being able to actually eat it. It just keeps getting thicker and thicker.. till you don't want it anymore.

Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

If there was ever an adjective I liked, it's this one. Too bad it's probably derived from elsewhere.Kai Stromler wrote:tar-rtearing
Thanks again Kai, productive feedback as always regardless of state-of-intoxication.
Although I'm starting to suspect that some of those after-images may have been a result of bad compression. Although my compression skill has never repeated the lows (or highs) of RPBP1 again, I have to admit there's usually something funny going on on that front, which I didn't intend.

Wait, you mean this video can actually be re-watched (more than once)?
