Suggestions for "quick video comment" area

Yeah, but I was looking more for what other people actually do with a system like this.

I belive he is talking about these:

I like that system. Just put 3 across instead of 4 and you could easily put up 30-50 to a page with about the right amount of empty space (Unless a lot of people are feeling wordy.) Then put a scroll bar on each one. Most people wouldn't write that much but it lets you avoid a charicter limit, or at least have a very high one.

Most people would only write a sentance or two but some (like myself) would like tobe able to put in a little more.

This would surely be a great idea, in the forums you can put a limit to the dimension of the viewable signature, and i that signature is bigger, the same forum create a scroll bar on it for anyone who would want to see it all. (www.forumfree.net) I'm not sure if this is what pen pen wanted to say but surely this al'x idea is someting great, but be aware that imo, even if with this quick comments will be extremely appreciated (even by myself, both as creator and viewer.) the opinion submition percentage will be even lower.

Sorry for the bad grammar of this post, I just wanted to write a concept that go above of my english knowledge.

Ok, the system is up. You can add a quick comment on the "pending stars" list on the member main page. Lemme know how well the system works.

I've been loosely following this thread (which, by the way, I think the idea is wonderful, and I'm glad to see it implemented), but I'm curious. How would I know if I got one of these quick comments? Is there a link I could click to see them? Nothing on the member's page is catching my eye, so am I missing a link? Or will I just not see it until I've received my first comment?

Again, great idea. I hope it turns out to be a success.

Hey dj_ultima_the_great,

Whenever you get one, there will be a list at the bottom of the member main page next to the "new / updated opinions" list. Since popular videos will get 100+ quick comments per day, the list will show the date and number of quick comments for that particular video on that day. Clicking the video title in that list will take you to the "view" page.

Just two questions:
1) Will we have the option to leave our names, or will it be kept strictly anonymous?
2) Will there be a link to view our quick comments received from someplace other than the links for the new ones at the bottom of the members main page? (a new link for each video on the Edit My Videos page, oslt)
