Alrighty, I'm back now, and rarin' to comment.
Stuff I Liked
- editing. You cut at all of the major beats, and paid attention to the flow of the music very well. When slow parts of the music came up, you had slow scenes, and vice versa.
- lyric matching. For the most part, you matched the individual lines of the song with appropriate scenes.
Stuff I Was Iffy About[/i]
- resolution and brightness. It was very small (and the horizontal line kept shifting on both sides), and the colors were dull, so it was hard to tell what was going on sometimes. It's the kind of video that you have to watch with all of the lights off so you can see the details.
- usage of KH2. This is a debate that gets tossed about concerning games. Personally, I hate it when people use trailers for footage. The game isn't out yet, so I don't want to see anything of it until it is. Others think it's okay. I think they're just impatient to make a video to it. However, I do have to admit that you utilized the footage well, so I'm not completely pissed about it.
Stuff I Didn't Like
- song choice. I don't know what made you pick "Supernatural" for this video, but it makes no sense. While some of the individual lines are okay - as I mentioned above - the song is about God. Last time I checked, there was nothing religious in Kingdom Hearts. I mean, it wasn't just a vague reference to Him, like many Christian rock bands have in their music; this was a blatant "God is there and he is watching" message! The song on a whole has nothing to do with the game. All the pretty editing in the world wouldn't save your video from that fact. As such, I had a difficult time getting into it as much as I would have liked to.
All in all, this was enjoyable. A few quirks prevent this from being a keeper on my hard drive, but it is certainly one of the better KH videos out there. Nice job!
