First and foremost, do not bump your topic. It's very frowned upon here.

Secondly, don't think that you're video is going unnoticed. I saw this topic when you first posted it, but I don't like seeing scenes from a game that isn't even out yet! For your sake, though, I'll break my belt of no-spoiler chastity and download this. You'll get some comments here later - when my headache goes away and I feel like watching a video.

Until then, see ya.

Alrighty, I'm back now, and rarin' to comment.

Stuff I Liked
- editing. You cut at all of the major beats, and paid attention to the flow of the music very well. When slow parts of the music came up, you had slow scenes, and vice versa.
- lyric matching. For the most part, you matched the individual lines of the song with appropriate scenes.

Stuff I Was Iffy About[/i]
- resolution and brightness. It was very small (and the horizontal line kept shifting on both sides), and the colors were dull, so it was hard to tell what was going on sometimes. It's the kind of video that you have to watch with all of the lights off so you can see the details.
- usage of KH2. This is a debate that gets tossed about concerning games. Personally, I hate it when people use trailers for footage. The game isn't out yet, so I don't want to see anything of it until it is. Others think it's okay. I think they're just impatient to make a video to it. However, I do have to admit that you utilized the footage well, so I'm not completely pissed about it.

Stuff I Didn't Like
- song choice. I don't know what made you pick "Supernatural" for this video, but it makes no sense. While some of the individual lines are okay - as I mentioned above - the song is about God. Last time I checked, there was nothing religious in Kingdom Hearts. I mean, it wasn't just a vague reference to Him, like many Christian rock bands have in their music; this was a blatant "God is there and he is watching" message! The song on a whole has nothing to do with the game. All the pretty editing in the world wouldn't save your video from that fact. As such, I had a difficult time getting into it as much as I would have liked to.

All in all, this was enjoyable. A few quirks prevent this from being a keeper on my hard drive, but it is certainly one of the better KH videos out there. Nice job!

Hmm...I made a typing mistake. And a triple post. Cod, I'm a hypocrite.

ok, ok. I won't ever bump my own topic on this board ever again.

Anyways, thanks for your time, commentary, and most importantly, your honesty. I think the biggest aspect I'm going to try and improve upon is matching the overall message of the songs to the vid. While you, and several others have commented on the fact that the song is about god, I more or less ignored that completely and simply went with the whole "supernatural" aspect of the song instead. That was my mistake.

I'm happy you at least thought the overall editting was good. That's always my first priority when making these amv's. Whether it be a correct way to go about it or not.

You know, after I thought about it, I sort of figured that that might have been the message you were going for. After all, when he sang the word "supernatural," I noticed that most of your scenes revolved around showing magic or strange events. Was it a mistake to interpret the song that way? No, not really. The fact that it was vague was probably the downfall. With concepts like that, the viewer sometimes has to watch the video multiple times to get that particular meaning out of it. Most are too impatient for this. Fortunately for you, I enjoyed your video enough that going through it several times didn't bother me in the least.

In the end, though, it's what you think that matters. I can tell you that your editing was solid, but the rest is up to you. Besides, this stuff gets easier the more videos you do, so just think of this as baby steps. ^_^

*goes back to working on her fanfic* 8-)
