FF 8 videos, small rant

I've been a fan of Final Fantasy VIII for a while, so I watched some of the AMVs. I just want to say...

People, every single freakin' video does not have to be about SquallxRinoa!

I don't like the couple personally, but that's just me.

I'm not saying not to make videos with them, just don't overdo it.

I recently bought FF8 and I've had a number of mixed reactions. My co-workers said they love it. Some AMV editors said they hate it. So my reasoning is "Well...if the game sucks, at least I have another addition to the footage stash."

Pink_Floyd, I understand where you're coming from - it annoys me too - but there really isn't much else you CAN make an VIII video to. You can't profile any of the other characters, because they don't appear in enough cutscenes (2 apiece, if that). Most VIII videos have to be romance or action. Occasionally, something mysterious like "Delirium" slips through, but it's rare.

Cyanna, what I've come to learn about that game is that people either love it or hate it. Personally, I'm of the latter category. The storyline gets to be boring romance bullshit, during which the main character, gruff and callous, becomes a complete pansy. Still, the cutscenes are great - particularly for action videos. Negating its obvious popularity, I suppose that's why so many people make videos to the Final Fantasy series. Their cutscenes tend to make very workable AMVs. Unfortunately, they're also getting so overdone that all of the potential originality has been basically drained out.

Hey, PF, if you like I can look through my videos and find you some non-romance ones - if you think that'll help any.
