I was SO close to titling this "Piano Pedophilia"
But instead, I settled for The Ocean Above Us.
Anime: Air
Music: Hiroko Kokubu - Eternity ~ Memories of Light and Waves ~ (from the FFX-2 Piano Collections)
Took me forever to encode, but I finally got through it. Huge drama video, measures in at six minutes and twenty-one seconds, but I promise it won't disappoint.
Enjoy.

Quite interesting. I didn't like the flashing effects in intro, and there were some parts I didn't get.
The girl cried in the middle. I figured she either remembered something in the past or saw the future, but I failed to see the link between her vision and the guy until the ending when it was obvious. Maybe I wasn't paying attention.
What happened to the guy anyway? (Dont answer that, I'll just google for synopsis)

Yeah, I can't say I really have an answer to that in the context of the video. I just knew that scene was a turning point in the anime, so I thought it would be a necessary inclusion in the AMV. The best I can say is that it's an indicator of her failing health (which becomes obvious later in the video).Eek-1 wrote: there were some parts I didn't get.

I'm also intrigued that you interpreted that part as a vision, as I intended it to be a flashback. I don't think it really matters either way, though.

When I saw the "Piano Pedophilia" thing, the first thing that flashed into my mind was the anime Piano, which would still make that title really wrong.aielI_Ileia wrote:Admit it: You were never going to call this AMV "Piano Pedophilia".
You just thought that would draw attention to your thread. C'mon now, out with it.![]()
On topic, I liked your video, especially the product placement at 0:28.
Maybe I should've actually watched Air before seeing this, 'cause I was totally lost. Aside from that, the video was really enjoyable.

I'm glad to say my time was not wasted and I was not disappointed. There were a FEW places where I could pretty easily complain about the video quality, but I'm not going to.
I've never seen Air, personally, so I can't comment on how you changed the story from the anime, or any thing such as that, but, beyond the girl crying half way through (which made very little sense to me, kinda like "why is she crying like that?" ), I got most of it. Makes me want to see Air, personally. I can't remember whether or not it was licensed, but I do know a friend of mine's seen it and liked it.
As far as the technical side of the editing, good synching, though you were a bit incosistant at some points. I'm going to cut you some slack on that, as the video's not exactly a short one. Good job, keep it up, I'll watch for future releases from you.
