Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

*completely agrees...both with the quotes and angelx03's signature regarding X*

I do agree with IcyCloud about the "color my hair" thing. It was cute at first, but it got old as you did it more.

Very nice work from you. That is definitely a kickass first video, and you can only get better, you know? Heck, I've made ten videos and this is better than any of those. Then again, that's not hard to do... ANYway...I'll be keeping an eye on your work. You show tons of promise.

Great job! /\/\@1DZ0RZ!!!!!!111 ^_^ *un-133+s herself*

Yea, Mahoromatic is a 16:9 source, while the rest was all 4:3, so i had to convert that to 4:3. That's why it looks a bit morphed at times.
True, you had to convert it, but one alternative could've been to resize it to the proper aspect ratio, and then crop off the sides. You'd lose some of the image, but at least it wouldn't look squished. Or you could've added letterboxes to the top and bottom, but that would've clashed with the rest of the footage. Though I'd still prefer that over squishing it down.

Though all that aside, good job on your first video :) Really fun and well edited. This is something that would pander well to a convention audience.

Things I would suggest working on in the future is your lip synch (while better than most, it could use some work), and timing to non-obvious beats/lyrics (if that makes any sense)

I gotta warn you, I judge noobs on the same scale I judge everybody on. I judge with 'blinders' on, that being said I HATE it when ppl make up some hairbrained story and put it in their video page, so I rareley read em.

Anyway. AWESOME VID! Seriously, an 8 or 9/ 10 on my grouchiest of days! Great job, rookie of the year stuff!

but yea, the hair color thing got raw after 1 time. That kind of intuition comes with experience (or a long beta process) though... the puppy barks were a bit off as well.
