Well, I'm a Fatal Frame fan (though I like the second game better), so I was drawn to this video. There really aren't many of them out there, and I think that both of those games would make great videos. So, curious, I downloaded your video.
Stuff I Liked
- the dark feel of it all.
- the bright white, slowed down part at the lull in the music; it added to the mystery of the video.
- the last twenty or so seconds. The scene selection was a great wrap-up for the video.
Stuff I Was Iffy About
- the concept. To me, Fatal Frame is less horror and more tragedy. In other words, what happened to the people in that game is supposed to evoke not only fear, but sadness in the player. You are supposed to sympathize with the characters and their plights. So, that's sort of what I expect when I watch FF videos. While you executed your concept pretty good, I just didn't care for it as well as I thought I would.
Stuff I Didn't Like
- the resolution. Did it really need to be that huge? All that really does is add to the filesize.
- the flow of the video. It all seemed to just flow together, with no definitive breaks or cuts. Of course, your timing was very good, actually; it was just difficult to tell. I blame it partly on the scenes themselves. They're all done in that fluctuating old film look. There was nothing you could do about that, really, so...it's not your fault, but I don't like it.
All in all, nicely done. There are a few quirks I have about it, but it is one of the better Fatal Frame videos out there. I'll be waiting for your next video! Were you still planning on using the first game, or were you going to use the second? Either way, I hope to see the next one soon!
As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Thanks for the big review there. I understand the cons of the cut scenes in this game and I have tried to utilize them to their full extent.
The things you mentioned are an add. The resolution was a matter, the big problem was encoding. I had some reasons to encode this video at this resolution, but if you see, it looks great and feels great.
The flow of the video is more defined than the videos out there before. I had chosen a flow that let the user let his time and story slip by while he enjoys the video.
Anyway, your review was a good hint and I will use it to make a better video next time. My next AMV may be a bit far, it will surely be a horror AMV. I have plans to add Fatal Frame 2 as one of the candidates for it but time will tell.
Thanks for the review man.

Woh!
great to know that... you're right. Getting such a good review from a lady who loves Fatal Frame, that's a good add. Well, I had put some time on the video and the truth is...this game has more to offer in its entire storyline and the cutscenes don't do justice to it.
There are alot of hurdles in making a good Horror video out of a game such as Fatal Frame, which you state as a tragedy (very true), and I think I have done the justice that it needed.
Well, I'm awaiting more people to respond to this one as Horror AMVs are rare and for this game...not many!

Nice to see someone using Fatal Frame, it doesn't get a whole lot of attention these days. Overall, it was a fairly good video. The intro runs a bit long, and the text at the end really kinda ruins the mood the video had built up. Also, there were a few spots with some relatively motionless scenes coupled with fast-paced portions of the music. Other than that though, an enjoyable video.

The text at the end destroys the mood!! That is a surely new add to my attention. I will make sure something like this does not happen in the next part. The problem with Fatal Frame is that it is very short on scenes. You can imagine making an AMV out of just 15 mins of footage!! I was rather delighted when I ended up making something that was looking better then what I would expect from a Fatal Frame video.
Your points are good but I will see if others have something like the same to say. Thanks...
