Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Using my Vegas 6.0 program, WMV was the only format I knew I could use without making the AMV filesize too big and keeping it in good quality. Since WMV is a windows type of file and just about everyone has a windows type of computer, I thought people wouldn't have any problems watching.

Yeah, but you should watch it though.

Honestly, after seeing this comment, I was forced to download this video. I myself use Vegas and know for a fact that the WMVs it spews out are of incredible quality, and I'm willing to bet, unless you really screwed around with the settings, that the quality for this video is damn good. Anyway, 'nuff said.

I use Vegas myself, I have since November of 04, but I just DON"T LIKE the .wmv file format. I'll get it when I get a high speed connection to upload a video of mine in a few weeks (stupid dial up).

Also, I happen to know that it is MUCH easier to post process with Vegas than it is with Premiere. And you also get better results with the audio *points at his friends who use Premiere having 32 khz audio in all of their videos*.

Talk to me on AIM (add Tono Fyr) next time you finish a video, and I'll help you out as best I can.

So you do use Vegas? Cool then. I usually see you posting alot on the forums so I should be able to find you next time I finish an AMV. If I could export in a different format, it would be nice. Once my next AMV is completed "which might be a week or 2", I'll im you about that.

Can't you export a Huffyuv avi file from Vegas? Then use VDub to encode in XviD?

BTW, I liked the video, but I have no idea how your reviews are getting such high marks. No offense to you, but downloaded fansubs compressed again into WMV should never get a 10 in Visual Quality, and the like. Again, I'm not dissing you, I'm dissing your reviewers.

Good vid, man

No prob. I'm gonna test out that export thing you just told me. If I can get this AMV in even better quality, I'd jump off a building from happiness!!
