Madbunny - Spleen in the sky

Post by madbunny » Thu Jun 09, 2005 11:45 am

Ok.. this video is the son of the video that never should have been.
The entire production of this video was plagued with problems, almost as though my computer was resisting the very concept that I was forcing it through.

This video is a combination Horror/Fun/Weird concept.

William Shatner reading bad French poetry and later singing a Beatles song. You have been warned.

Opinions naturally are welcome, but a simple comment in the announcement thread goes a long way too.

Is it ok to want William Shatner dead after watching this video? I mean I used to think he was an ok guy. I had no idea just what evil he was capable of until now. Your involvement in this matter will also have to be thoroughly examined, so don't leave town.

Good, weird video. On a technical note, I did catch the top of a subtitle right near the end.

That video was so wow...

I never expected to hear some Baudelaire used in an AMV. I studied that poem last year, and it think it was pretty close to was spleen would look like.

For the second part, the fact it was so wrong made me laugh :D

Anyway, good job for having used it. Just full weird.

did you mean that the poetry he was reading is bad or that he is reading it bad ? Because I think that poem is pretty good (at least in french).

I've never really been into 'dark' poetry, if that's the correct term for it, but I suspect that it loses alot in translation, especially if it's a wacked out reading by William Shatner.

Shatner has a 'unique' way of interpreting things... even though the second part was supposed to be all 'happy' and stuff I still thought it was just creepy. "You aaaaanswer quiiiiite slooooowly", for example was just wtf? material.

yeah, sorry bout that sub.. I had wanted to replace it with some Voices of a Distant Star shots since they are so blatantly collorful.

I'll definately download this when I'm at home. Not to watch myself mind you, but based on the description it sounds like a great thing to spring on unsuspecting visitors to my home. With your help maybe I'll finally get rid of those damned Jehovahs Witnesses.

Didn't work on me. Then again I had a rough idea of what was coming.
