Copycat Hunting - any of these your videos?

Post by AbsoluteDestiny » Sat May 07, 2005 6:39 am

This user has been caught uploading someone elses video and pretending it is their own (the george in the jungle one). Please have a look through the list of videos and download any that you think you might have seen elsewhere and let me know.

Unless I'm mistaken and it's the same person submitting under two accounts (which I doubt, and is forbidden anyway):

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=71723 is in fact http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=63103 from Buried A Lie Studios (submitted on 21-02-2005).

I'll tell you what, I'll steal yours if you steal mine. That way we can both get an ego boost just before we get banned.

Just an idea - Is there any way to go through the checksum values on Local and check for identical copies? I'm not sure how practical it'd be but it seems like if people are just uploading other people's videos and claiming them as their own, the checksums would be the same...

Problem is, the offenders frequently trim off bumpers and such.
