Alright, here's what I suggest:
Get the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Soundtrack and use "So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish" to Blue Submarine No. 6. It'll leave 'em in STITCHES!
~Otaku-Man
P.S. Since the soundtrack just came out, you can:
a) Find it easily in any music store
b) Should be able to find it on sale for around $10 if you shop around the newspaper ads.

Psuedo-obvious question-statement-thingy: since you listed your CD collection, I assume you only want songs from those CDs. If so, then I can't help you. If not, then I have a number of ideas for X and Yu-Gi-Oh!. So, should I throw out the song ideas to you, or would you rather just have stuff you have access to?
As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Edited for content...not really...but it sounds cool...
Uh, this might be a long post because these are suggestions that I had typed up somewhere else before, so I'm just copying and pasting them.
Yu-Gi-Oh! – Chobits OST – “Ningyo Hime (2nd ending theme)” – Yugi and Yami – this is a song all about searching for a special person, so it would lend itself very nicely to the concept of Yugi and his bond with Yami that is always so emphasized throughout the whole series. During the various dream sequences and experiences in the Shadow Realm, there is a lot of footage to be found about that bond of friendship. If you’ve seen Chobits, then you know that song is really more oriented towards a naive romance, but if you check out the lyrics (on www.animelyrics.com) you’d notice that the song could be about friendship quite easily.
Yu-Gi-Oh! - Sevendust - "Enemy" - another idea that I really want to do, it would be a profile of all of the 'baddies' of Yu-Gi-Oh! - Marik, Kaiba, Pegasus, Darts...even Noah (Noa?) could work. I have another Yu-Gi-Oh! idea for this song, but since I plan to do it and my interpretation is kind of weird, I think I'll just leave you with these thoughts.
X TV – 12 Stones – “Broken” – Sorata/Arashi, Subaru/Seishirou, Hinoto/Saiki – While I would especially like to see the third couple’s story illustrated to this song, I also believe that the first two would be very appropriate for it as well (especially since the third couple wouldn’t have enough footage on their own, I think.) Otherwise, the song speaks for itself! It is very nearly ideal for these three couples! (Oh, and just so I don’t confuse anyone, I don’t think that Hinoto/Saiki is a truly romantic relationship, just one of high admiration, love, and respect...kind of like two best friends who are on the verge of becoming something more.) This is a video that I'm very set on doing someday, but if you like it, then I'd encourage you to try it.
X, possibly Tokyo Babylon - Orgy – “Blue Monday” – Seishirou and Subaru – okay, I’m going to get kicked for this, but I really DO think that this song works well for them – particularly if it is told from Subaru’s point of view. It could be all about how Seishirou mistreats Subaru constantly. The song really speaks for itself, so that’s all I have!
X – The Matrix Revolutions – “Navras” – Okay, this suggestion is a big one. It is also one of the most difficult ones I have offered yet. This video, minus the middle section, would make an amazing X action video. Heck, even the middle section could be wonderful if it was pulled off right. This song has seven parts to it basically.
- intense orchestral – the parts of X that tell about “The End of the World.”
- techno – battle sequences between various Dragons
- ‘ritual chanting’ techno – each of the characters’ individual life situations/pasts
- mysteriously quiet music – dream sequences (this could be Hinoto’s, Kakyou’s, and Kotori’s, remember)
- more techno – more battle sequences between various Dragons
- more intense orchestral – more parts that tell about “The End of the World,” or further battle sequences
- intense orchestral ending – cliffhanger ending – leave the viewer wondering how it’s all gonna turn out!
Okay, I don’t want to say that people with anything inferior to Premiere shouldn’t try this; I just think that this video would work out so much better with the range of effects and capabilities that that program has to offer. Of course, there is a lot to be said for just clean, well-timed cuts, too. Regardless, I still believe that some effects would very much enhance this video. One more thing I want to mention is that this song is VERY long; it tops out at 9:08. Oh, and this is another song that I would consider to be one of my top ten favorite songs of all time. I seriously consider this to be one of the most challenging of my suggestions, so I would love if someone took it up. If you can pull this off, I WILL give a VERY VERY long opinion for it.
X TV – HIM – “Join Me in Death” – I find these lyrics slightly disturbing for some reason. Actually, I think it is because they are set to a song with such a dreamlike quality. Minus the rock/guitar sounds, the music sort of sounds like something from X. As for my decision of why this song and anime are a good pairing...well...just listen to the song. Now tell me that this song doesn’t go well with X. Yeah. That’s what I thought. Another idea that I'd like to do myself, but I don't know if I ever will.
X TV - Nine Inch Nails – “The Great Below” – Kotori, Hinoto, Kanoe, Kakyou – to me, this feels like a song about accepting one’s fate, even though it will lead to ruin. Sound like a certain Dreamgazer-in-training? Yeah, I thought of a darker side to Kotori when I heard this song (actually, I thought of Lain first, but that’s another story.) The video would be about how she was willing to sacrifice everything for Kamui and Fuma. Of course, this plotline is explored better in the manga, I think, but I believe that there would be enough footage for an AMV. Finally, if you are curious why I mentioned the other Dreamgazers, I see them as sort a support device for the video – especially in the end, where the lyrics keep repeating “I can still feel you, even so far away.” In essence, they all still dream of Kotori after her ‘departure’ (well, not Kanoe as much, but you get the gist.) For the whole series, references are made to her, even after the fact. Kotori’s not my favorite character by any means, but this would be a great tribute to the darker side of her, I think.
X,Tokyo Babylon – Silent Hill 4: The Room – Mary Elizabeth McGlynn - “Room of Angel” – Subaru/Seishirou – I know, I know. I make a lot of suggestions for these two, but they’re my favorite anime characters of all time, so smeh. Anyway, this video struck me the instant I saw the lyrics to the song. It is a generally lovely but twisted piece, and I thought that a moving video could come out of it. I mean, it describes Sei-chan and Subaru’s relationship almost flawlessly. Unfortunately, the song is about seven minutes long, and that could cause a problem. That’s one of the reasons I suggested TB with it, although there isn’t too much of their relationship described there. Actually, I was seriously thinking of doing this video myself. I even started it, but it was hard to get it started so I've given up on it for now.
X TV - Nine Inch Nails – “The Fragile” - this idea is one I plan on doing, but it is a very specific interpretation. The song is dark, but the lyrics really do work. For the first verse and chorus, you could illustrate Sorata and Arashi's relationship. For the second verse and chorus, Saiki and Hinoto. For the interlude, Kakyou, Hokuto, and Kotori with an underlying theme of Subaru and Seishirou. For the ending guitar riffs and vocals, some powerful action scenes. Like I said, this is a very particular idea, so I may be the only one who really CAN make it the way I want it. Even so, if you think you understand what I'm getting at and like this idea, then by all means try it.
X TV – Nine Inch Nails – “Just Like You Imagined” - just a sheer action video. No other way I can describe this. It's an instrumental song with some cool beats and music to edit to. I love the idea and want to do it, but I need a better program first.
X TV – Nine Inch Nails – “Mr. Self Destruct” - a perfect song for Seishirou. Again, no real description here as the lyrics speak for themselves.
X TV - Three Doors Down - "Let Me Go" - an interesting idea for a Yuzuriha/Kusanagi video. No real surprise, but I want to do this. I just don't know WHEN I'm going to be able to do all of these videos that I so want to put together.
Okay, so there's WAY more X than Yu-Gi-Oh!, but X is also my second favorite anime of all time. And Subaru and Seishirou are my favorite characters of all time - so they get more video ideas. And I adore Nine Inch Nails. This post was super-long, but I hope you've gotten a few ideas from it. That's all I have for you for now. If I come up with anymore outstanding ideas, I'll let you know. Unless, of course, I've overloaded you. ^_^ In that case, I apologize...

What do you think about Revolutionary Girl Utena with The Biginning of the End by HIM. I could use all the different couples/close friends throughout the series, though of course Utena and Anthy would be two main characters. I would also use Anthy with her brother as well as Anthy's brother with Utena. And of course their is Anthy with the green haired dualist (can't think of his name right now) and a bunch of the other pairs in the series. What do you think? Should I try it or is it too far fetched to really work?

Well here's the thing as far as I can tell:
A serious Utena video has been done quite a bit, and sure different takes end up with different results, using the broadway-musical-esque "So Long and Thanks for all the Fish" would be so fresh, original, and so right out of the ballpark that it will catch most people off guard.
Perhaps some of the lyrics might help:
So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear
You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that grow around you.
So long, So long, and thanks for all the fish
The world’s about to be destroyed
Theres no point getting all annoyed.
Lie back and let the planet dissolve (around you)
Despite those nets of tuna fish
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your pregnant women.
So long, So long, So long, So long, So long,
So long, So long, So long, So long, So long,
So long, So long, and thanks for all the fish
If I had just one last wish
I would like a tasty fish
If we could just change one thing
We would all have learnt to sing
Come one and all
Man and mammal
Side by side in life’s great gene pool
So long, So long, So long, So long, So long,
So long, So long, So long, So long, So long,
So long, So long, and thanks for all the fish
And here's the music video provided by the Hitchhiker's main page:
hitchhikers.movies.go.com/games/dolphin.html
This would of course be a chorus sung by Zorndike's finned followers and show lots of things blowing up as humans get ripped a new one. You could even call the video "So Long and Thanks for Nothing!"
I know it may seem pushy of me, but I think this would really set things apart from other AMV creators.
