another question, this one related to ffx-2
this fmv is having problems:
FINAL_FANTASY_X_2_06
its the one where yuna wakes up in a field (i think after falling in a hole (have not played this game for over a year so i dont remember everything))
it plays up to we see the tidus like guy (forgot his name)and then it freezeson his mouth
any suggestions on this?
ty again for any help

On a side note, I served them up through AVisynth>Conversion and had no problem-asides from random black blocks and/or a cut off edge.

I haven't had any problems ripping with FFX2 previously, and I currently don't have the game disc. I suggest you re-try the method and see if it rips correctly.The14thGOD wrote:another question, this one related to ffx-2

*And when I mean by re-doing the method, I mean both methods:

ahh, a buddy of mine fix it.
here's a quote
here's a quote
yeah, i believe there's two pss files like that in ffx where the scene is cropped but i was able to fix it. see the reason for that is because the pss consisted of two pss files combined, it plays normal in the begining of the pss because that resolutin is 512x416, then about 5 seconds later when it goes to the warzone part, it switches to 640x416 switch causes the conflict. u can fix it easily in a hex editing program, just search for the begining string for pss files, i forgot wat the hex string was, but if u search for the header u'll find another one within that FMV scene, press CTRL ALT home to highlight all the hex above the second one and save that selection as the first.pss, then delete that selection, and u'll have the second.pss.

That is quite the neat stuff.shirohamada wrote:yeah, i believe there's two pss files like that in ffx where the scene is cropped but i was able to fix it. see the reason for that is because the pss consisted of two pss files combined, it plays normal in the begining of the pss because that resolutin is 512x416, then about 5 seconds later when it goes to the warzone part, it switches to 640x416 switch causes the conflict. u can fix it easily in a hex editing program, just search for the begining string for pss files, i forgot wat the hex string was, but if u search for the header u'll find another one within that FMV scene, press CTRL ALT home to highlight all the hex above the second one and save that selection as the first.pss, then delete that selection, and u'll have the second.pss.
I'll have to try that sometime.
Although I did suspect the video resolutions to contribute to these two video problems, I had no clue where to go about- Great find.
