Anyone know of a good anime that shows people that really like each other turning against one another and fighting each other?

I can't come up with anything that fits that idea perfectly, but these anime fall along those lines, I think...

Ah! My Goddess The Movie (it could be interpreted that way)
Trigun (just about everyone loves then hates Vash in that anime)
X (this one is a little farfetched, but it could work)
Yu-Gi-Oh! (probably works best here, especially with the current arc or the possessions that Marik [Malik] did on Yugi's friends last season)

That's all I can figure. Yu-Gi-Oh! is the strongest shot in my mind, but hopefully someone can come up with something better. Hope I helped.

Abenobashi- episodes 7 and 11. In 7, arumi is pissed off at sasshi for at least the second half of the show. in 11, their families are at war.
