I'll admit I have never completed the game, but FF6 was really fun of the few game hours I've played. I'll clear that game when I have more time on my hands.

I still like VII best, though.

I think FF6 and FF7 are both awesome.

I don't really think it went down hill with the Enix merger.

FF8 was kinda lame on the story. FF9 went goofy with the designs and the part of the story I know.

I think remakes of the old games for the PS2 or PS3 would be great. The same great stories with better graphics and more action. (Lets face it as cool as even FF6 and FF7 were the combat gets old.)

Graphic technology is allready pushing back advancments in gameplay. We dont need remakes to slow the wait for the next decent game even further.

I will say that Final Fantasy VI is proabably the best Final Fantasy game I have ever played, and I have played FFI (original), FF Origins (FFI, FFII), FF Chronicles (FFIV), FF Anthology (FFV, FFVI), FFVII, FF Tatics, FFVIII, FFIX, and I just recently beat FFTA (Don't get this game). However the best RPG I have ever played is Grandia II for Sega Dreamcast. That was an AWSOME RPG!

I think remakes are fine. They make it so you don't have to hunt for the orginal, which are some times impossible to find. Besides they also give the new RPG fans a taste of what the old school RPG where like. Some times I think these new RPGs focus on nothing but graphics to make the game. Graphics don't make a good game. It is a good story mostly, and gameplay, which I feel some of the orginals had like FFVI which is the remake of FFIII for SNES.

Sacralige! That is a great game! Screw the story, the gameplay is top notch and possibly better than Tactics on the PS1!

Well, I am glad you like it, but I hated it. And I rate games mostly according to story yet, but also gameplay and side quest. The orginal Tatics had the best Tatical RPG system ever, and FFTA restricted that same system with its stupid laws. At first I thought nothing of it, but it really got annoying towards the end when they had three laws. Plus if you break them they effect your normal status. I got a yellow card once and it made my best character's weapon attack drop by 46 points! Plus every time I attack some one I am always missing them even when I am ten levels higher. And on top of that there was another time when I was doing a mission called out break of flan and one of the laws where no damage to monsters. That basically ment that if I dropped the flan's hp in anyway I would be getting yellow and red cards galor. Due to those freaken laws I had to reset that game some many freaken times! That gameplay was annoying and a destoryer of the orginal tatics which had the best Tatical Battle system ever! Sorry, but for me FFTA had the worst Tatical gameplay system. It did not have the worst game play over all, not that was Phantasy Star III, but this RPG does have the worst Tatical battle system I have everplayed. I am glad you enjoyed it, but I hated it.

Well, I've never played any FF series games myself, but I can certainly say FF6 is not a 'forgotten game' - I keep noticing how whenever someone brings up FF6 in anime/rpg-related circles, a cheer is heard throughout, with a few possible exceptions like myself who have absolutely no idea about the game.

I'm kinda embarassed that I know absolutely nothing about it, and only slightly more about subsequent FF games - it's quite possible I'm missing out on a classic. :(

Then again, seeing how these same people never tried some of what I consider 'classics', I call it even
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Sabin was the best FF6 character IMO. He had the strongest physical attack (Bum Rush) and almost every other character was always depressed about something. Then again, I just really enjoy games and anime that have characters on them that aren't always afraid of fighting and such, like Fei from Xenogears and the 01 pilot from Evangelion.

P.S. Locke had alot of great abilities (Try the "capture"ability while wearing the Genji Gloves), but Cloud was a much better character as far as personality and development are concerned. Though I could blame that on the fact that FF6 had so many characters that it would take forever to get into too much detail about their past and so on.
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.
