Rare! A MANGA-Video-attempt

Post by Kurayami-san » Mon Mar 21, 2005 6:17 am

There're still only a few manga-music-videos on a-m-v.org - not to mention that most of them aren't even downloadable -.-#,

so here's a special cookie for you, which is downloadable and pure manga - for those ones of you who love Alichino or just want to get to know it:

enjoy it ^^

Hmm ... this is a Visual MAD right ?

Well a nice attemp but the methods of synchage were a bit overused; after the same motion showed up 10secs I got a little bit bored. The music and images do fit but it's sometimes a bit simple in matters of sync and effects. When I look at some of shine@G2's or cyuson's MADs I see that they rely more on effects and less on the still pics while you made exactly the opposite.

Well I think it's worth a look. But if you intend to create another one I would suggest that you use colored pictures cause the fact that they're b/w makes it tiring sometimes.

Übrigens gut, dass du deine videos mal hier ankündigst. :wink:

Really, I would have loved to use more colored pics, but there isn't any Art Book of Alichino available, since the Manga got abandoned by its editors. I've already picked all colored pics that do exist.

you're right that I concentrated mostly on the same effect. I was close to kill the whole project after I've lost the whole editing for the 2nd time, so I just wanted to get through it before I could loose everything again ^^;;

By the way, are you sure, shine@G2's and cyuson have made any videos containing only manga at all? o.o *hasn't found any*

ehm, and could you tell me what MAD stands exactly for? I'm just guessing XD

Well they used no manga footage but still pics of several pc games so it's nearly the same concept.

Why? There are plenty of japanese mads which are in no definable way different from our amvs except the fact that they are made in japan.

They are. We americans and other contries are just imitators, creating an AMV and calling it a MAD ;p

And just to stay on topic and not stray off this person's thread anymore than we are already doing, I will download the vid and give my comments ^^

I actually thought the idea worked. I just think you needed more variations in your method of presenting the clips. The opening effect for example was cool for about 10 secs, then started to get repetative and old. More diversity in the effects used wouldve made it a better video. This video kinda makes me think of that one video to ff7's One winged angel using only text, (Lebreti in motion or something I think was the name...) but this one using manga images.
