Or, to turn it somewhat differently - you do need the voice talents for your original-audio AMV projects, which are more than legit for the purposes of the site :)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

For the 800th time, you get AMV editors to edit AMVs, and you get AVAs to do voiceovers! Would you get some random person to edit your AMV for you? No! And yes, it is the same thing! Talking is not the same thing as acting. I'm sure it's fun to play around with the microphone, but your work would sound so much better if your actors knew what they were doing.

Here, I'll post the exact link for you:

Original, Non-Anime, Auditions (a.k.a. actors-wanted).

Nothing against the people who've done the other ones, but when people really don't know how to voice-act, it clangs in my ears like you wouldn't freaking believe. You've seen bad dubs. You know how it is. Some people just sound like random people off the street, they can't help that. Good for life; bad for dubbing.

That's my manifesto. I've done it before, and I'll leave it at that now. If you refuse to listen again, I have to wonder why you even bother.
Because for the 100th time.
I do this not for making money.
I do this not for a business.

I do it because it's something I quite enjoy,
and I like to share it with the "community".

So no offense, but I am no fool.
Yeah, and the same goes for video editing. I could ask the video professor at school to help me with a project, but I prefer to work with the members here. The final product may not be as good as it potentially could be, but it's definitely more fun. I'd take an enjoyable experience over a superawesome final product any day.

Then there are times when you have both an enjoyable experience and a superawesome final product. As for that... we shall see.

Just realized that all this was kinda off-topic... sorry!

Jesus that is fucking sappy.

Why don't you try something more subtle?

Couldn't hurt to try.

Do the extreme. Make nothing happen. Just have people sit there through the whole thing, and then have some moral/religious extravaganza at the end that nobody understands. It'll be just like Eva.

^^ Teh win.

But I agree, more subtle would be better. But then, I don't like sappy. Just my opinion.

Some other time perhaps...
Then again... If we all tried the cool subtle things, then they'd be the boring things everyone did. So.

So pretty much what your saying is that its good that your making sappy bullshit because it makes everyone else's stuff look better?

I mock your work ethic.

Ouch. Whatever happened to just letting people make the videos they would enjoy making? Don't like sappy? Just don't download the AMV. :P

I'm not saying hes not aloud to make it of course, I was just originaly expressing my thoughts on the idea, as that seems to be a section of what this thread is about. The above post was just to point out how stupid, imo, this sentence is.

I really dont want to take 10 minutes to post in detail on how I think this post is completely ridiuclous. I don't want this thread to turn into me telling Ryan his ideas sucks, so I'll just leave it.
