Noob to site and to making AMV's
...Actually, because I'm new, means that I'm also new to making AMV's. I just got microsoftmoviemaker for my computer, it rocks, i've figured out the basics already from researching and testing...basicly putting pictures I drew with music...but the only thing I get out of it is a noisy slideshow. Can anyone lend me a hand????? I'd like to know how to create a REAL music video, and where I can get some GREAT clips to put to my vast variety of awsome music. All help is greatly appriciated.
P.S.
*sweat* I wasn't exactly sure where to put this thread.

well, if you havn't edited anything before... feel free to start with WMM... but like EXODO said, it's really basic so you may not be able to do a lot of the things you want. in that case, another program like Premiere, Vegas, Magix, etc. would be a better choice.EXODO wrote:Try to get a better program than moviemaker.
Adobe Premiere, Pinaccle, other than moviemaker because movie maker is extremely basic. Well this is a suggestion you dont have to follow it if you dont want to.

Movie maker isnt a bad program. Its only significant restriction is in the use of effects, which is probably a good thing as most of the time effects end up doing more to harm a scene than help it. The effects wmm2.1 offers are good enough for most people.EXODO wrote:Try to get a better program than moviemaker.

Most high end video editors like Premier and vegas are overkill for all but the hardcore amv'ers.
