• Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
 • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
 • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

"Awesome considering it's Haibane."

I don't like this show, but seeing how the editing blew me away I' gonna give you an .

Interesting. I thought the episodic nature of it was somewhat odd, but in the long run, it works into the story nicely. The editing is right along the lines of what I'd expect of you, I'd say quite a few highlights in the midle parts.

As a Haibane video - what more can you ask for? It's obviously a work conscious of the art direction, story and athmosphere.
Good work.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Funny you say that, because I haven't seen Haibane yet.

Somehow I feel the impact might have been greater if I hadn't already seen Haibane Renmei... probably because I already knew what was going to happen.

Still, that was very cool. Great example of mood synch, nice text effects... and you managed to get it under the 10-meg-a-minute mark while still retaining high resolution and excellent quality. 8-)

Recommended for anyone who's thinking of using blurs in a dramatic video.

I share that sentiment. Now that I've seen it.... WOW! There are very few videos I use the word "beautiful" to describe, but this one fits it perfectly. I'll post an opinion soon.
Hehe I remember you said something like "I love reki, take your time and do it right" in my ar2 trailer thread, That actually did help motivate me more ^^ glad I got your stamp of approval ;p
This is one of the few videos over 5 minutes which never once made me think 'Oh god, how much longer is this'.
Mission accomplished

Dark-Krystal, Unfound and Bote: Thanks ^^

Thanks, means alot comming an editor I consider strong in that area ;p
i found this wonderfully easy to follow
Yay, mission accomplished once more ^^

Yea thats probably this video's weakest point, if you've seen what happens already it looses some of its dramatic elements. I guess its a good video to watch if you'll never see the show but want to know what happens in a nutshell ;p

Anyway, Thank you everyone for the praise. I also have to thank my beta testers, especially Madbunny for how polished the story is now, and Kalium for catching my many spelling/Typo errors >.>

It was a bigger success than I was actually expecting thanks to you guys :)

Interesting, and good, I especially liked the bit with the train and any of the sequences of high camera movement. I think you may have left in a couple scenes with mouth flap (outside of the parts with text that is), but most of that seemed intentional and it didn't take much away from the vid. Nice work, I'm a fan.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Beautiful work, excellent storytelling, effects and mood. I didn't expect it to be that calm though after AR, but it's good that it was that way ;) It makes up as an excellent drama video.
I recognized a bit of sloppy masking in the beginning, but aside from that great job :)

Ooo I just watched this over again and finally realized what other AMV it had reminded me of. The style is similar to that of AD's Storytelling - A Gothic Fairytale. :D Incidentally, I had also watched Comedy recently.

Hmm... now I have the urge to re-watch Haibane.

Really? I havn't seen that yet. Maybe I should check it out ;p
Doesn't surprise me though that this style may have been done before.

As for it being similar to Silence... I don't realy see the resemblance... hmm... But I'll take it as a compliment ;p

Thanks for all the coments ^^ And thanks to those that left opinons :)
