Flood - FY Chichiri profile vid

This vid uses Fushigi Yuugi set to Jars of Clay's 'Flood'. This is a Chichiri-focused video, looking at him, Tasuki, and Tamahome. It has spoilers for the anime, and the next-to-last episode of Mysterious Play.

Woohoo! An AMV that uses one of my favourite songs! And it's a good one, too!

Chichiri was one of the few characters that I actually liked from Fushigi Yuugi, so I'm glad you made it about him.

Nice use of simplicity, and good scene selection. And it's a pretty original idea, considering how there's next to no Chichiri vids and only a few available vids to this song.

He's my favorite FY character, the reason I went ahead and got the rest of the anime. So naturally I had to make a vid featuring him. ^.^

The song's worth a listening to, if you haven't heard it yet. ^.~

This anime is actually one very long dramatic romance, with a lot of interesting characters set up to go with the main pairing and add a plot to the romance. My vid features some of those 'side' characters, so it doesn't really represent the anime as a whole. I'd say out of some 60 episodes, I've used maybe 2 in this vid. If you can get past the main romance theme, it's a very neat fantasy anime. I watch it for the side characters. ^_^;;

Yay, you made another video!

And it was perfect, as always. I love Chichiri and Tasuki, and the song was very fitting (and somewhat nostalgic, as it's been 3 years since I've watched the anime). This is going on my next DVD - thanks for making it ^_^

Good job on it; the song was hard to edit i think but the result is very good.

I've been slow editing this year, but getting FY was a nice boost. I'm hoping to do two more vids with it for the songs, THTC and the TasChi song. There just isn't nearly as much footage for them as I thought there would be, so I had to mix the others in as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it. ^_^

Just a little? Heh, I admit to fastforwarding through most of Mysterious Play to get past the Tama/Miaka scenes. I think they were made for each other (and they're both funny), but I can only take so much of the drama. ;p

Yeah, the song wasn't as 'hard' - instrument wise - as I imagined it being, but it wasn't nearly as slow as the lyrics made me think, either. I guess it was somewhere in the middle, so the actual editing wasn't that fun. I went through all sorts of variations to get the scenes to 'flow.' That's what happens when I mix action and drama without overlays. ^_^;;

Oh, no, this was my break from effects.

I didn't want anything to distract me from seeing the scenes.

I don't know if you'd like the series, but if you can borrow it from someone, it's worth a watch. I wouldn't buy it if you haven't seen at least 10 episodes. That way you know if you can withstand (or get addicted to) the main romance theme.
