I've only been making videos for the past year, and I'm real slow in doing so what with other crap. I'm just wondering if you guys have any tips you can give me.

Welcome. And you'll have to be more specific on what you want help with: encoding, editing, conceptualizing, fitting into the community, serving the viewers with what they want, etc.

We have help sections if it's the compression/editing/effects/technical issues you need help with.

Would go in-depth but there's only one tip needed:
#1. Read most if not all of the “stickies”.
