This community has changed me, partially for the better, partially not. I've spent a LOT more time on my computer than I used to and a lot less time exercising, but at the same time, I've met many different people and have made some good friends. I kinda think though, what did I do before AMV's. I never really had that chance to do anything great. I was good at lots of sports like Basketball and tennis, but I didn't excel in anything. AMV's kinda give me that chance.

The reason for this topic is simply because I was wondering if anyone else has had this effect from AMV's.
Ah, yes.
Well, I can't say it has affected my exercise or time with friends much, but I certainly devote some big hours into this activity.

I also used to save money.

We merely smell the roses

Post by Kilakion » Fri Dec 24, 2004 2:48 pm

Tis a large and vast complication of very interesting ideals and perceptions on the outlook of things and how they interact with our lives.

And to realize this, is to be like Edward Bradford Titchener, a scientist who smelled the roses and tried to examine all the emotions from each sent and sought to find the feeling behind his works.

Amvs have brought me many friends, have tied me closer to friends that I've known all my long years in life, it has too stricken me some-what with a lesser amount of exercise etc., given I was fully into body buidling, but I must confess that AMVs have hit me like a rose, they bring intriguing senses and ties to others, yet the thorn on the rose pricks my fingers in some perception that I do not know whether it is a good dire resolve or not.

But it is that observation of things, that we can further elaborate our lives into deeper meanings, we amv-creators merely smell the roses so to speak, we examine the things in life others miss and never fully examine. Perhaps we have been altered in some or many aspects for taking in the elegant sent of smelling the roses, but nonetheless they've really brought a new meaning in our lives, something we can express with, something of a joy, something of an honest truth perhaps.

In resolve, you must smell the roses, yet see the rest of the world as well in due time  .
keep up the good work amv people ~_^

I have met a lot of new, and interesting, people. I have spent more money on anime than I have anything else (it rivals my video game total!).

I wouldn't trade this for anything. It has made my life somewhat better in the long run, but has also ruined it. It ruined it because now I go around doing random things that I might've seen in anime (I chased a Big Mac box through a parkinglot for shit's sake!) and for various other reasons. It has improved, because I now have a few different takes on life, and many friends I can watch the anime with and show them the same thing.

I don't know where I'd be without anime... Probably grounded from shit grades and unable to do anything...

I´d be still good at school and I´d have some friends. I spent so much time in front of my pc that I hadn´t got a girlfriend since 2 years, or maybe it´s just because no girl I know is into animes and metal stuff ^^.

But most of all I´d still be playing Final Fantasy Front Misson and Xenogears (or similar rpgs) day in day out. And I would have lot more time for football training and myother sports ...
