Somehow I lost the ability to playback MPEG2 sound? Anyone come accross this. I am tryed to play 2 DVD's on my computer and got nothing. All other audio seems fine. Is there a way to re-install the audio codec for this?

Yeah, I know that. But it just stopped working so I was kind of confused. It still works in VLC media player, just no in the windows media player. I think it stopped working after I installed the beta AMV app, but i'm not sure. That seems to be the last thing that I installed lately that has anything to do with thie sort of thing.

the capacity of playing back DVDs by itself.
If you already have an AC3 codec installed, I suggest you try reinstalling the codec and see if it'll work.
Also, I personally do not know nor had any audio incapabilities due to the install of the new AMVapp.

.. I've had nothing but incapabilities due to the install of the new AMVapp !
I just re-installed everthing from scratch - even my AVIsynth is working.
I'm not sure what happened, but under Windows ME, it messed everything up.
- if you are using Windows 98 thru ME, load what you need from the AMVapp
collection and then install what has worked for your system - right over it.
