The entire reason I'm even here on this site is to become familiar with all the programs that I'll need for making my own anime video clips. I have tons of anime just sitting in my room, so I have the material, I just needed to find a way to get it on my computer, and that's when Azure sent me here to get everything I would need to make anime clips for my voice over auditions... ^_^
Sure I can see my anime any time I want, but I need to be able to take a clip (with sound), take out one character's voice and replace it with mine and basically have a conversation with the rest of the characters in the anime! ^o^

But one more problem... DVD2AVI is a lot slower than DGIndex but it works, and DGIndex is a lot faster but whenever I render a clip it turns it into an unrecognizable clip and my other programs won't play it... Does DGIndex alway convert clips to D2V and AC3 format?

You arent supposed to play the d2v files. Follow the guides exactly, particularly the part about loading the d2v files into avisynth.

Not if you select "Decode" instead of "Demux" in the Dolby Digital settings under the Audio menu. Then it'll create D2V (this is NOT a conversion -- you must keep the VOBs around) and <b>WAV</b> files instead, which are easier to work with.

You just select the audio track you want under one of the dgindex menus... then save the project... and it outputs the audio to a file. If you just want to watch the dvd, just use a software that plays them.

wai wai wai wait hold up there zarx, what I gather that he wants is to take 'x' character's voice out of the scene to replace with his voice, while playing the rest? I don't think that is possible is it?? I mean you can do it with high class filtering programs but it'd take alot of work, I'd assume.

See, thread maker, the audio is lined up so you can take it ALL out, or none of it out. What you want to do is like erasing a single letter out of the word 'tree' making it '_ree' and replacing it with your own making it 'free' just an example. But you see, audio is not like putting words together, you can't take off one layer of audio that represents one single voice because it was all recorded at the same time! You'd have to have VA's for every other charachter so you can have YOURS all recorded at the same time.

So anyway this' my understanding, that you can take out all the voices from a single dub or none, If I'm wrong or misunderstanding the situation please tell me.

Well, you can remove sections entire, but just to remove one track is extremely difficult at best.

Thanks guys, I've been messing with all of the programs and now I have everything that way that I want it. But the only thing is that when I convert the VOB file to a Video Clip file in VertualDubMod, everything becomes really choppy... To the point where it's impossible to work with... So I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong while converting the file. All I do is label the part that I want to save, and then I "Save as"... it's perfect except for the choppyness... ^_^
