A question...

Post by Dark Sith » Tue Nov 30, 2004 7:47 pm

Hello,

I've made my first music video using Windows Movie Maker, and I have to say it's pretty damn good. I want to upload it to the site here, but i've having problems getting it converted to a good file format away from Movie Maker's format, so it can be played on Windows Media Player. Is there a way that I can do this? I alreayd know how to do the FTP stuff, I just need to know what file type I need to convert it too so it can be viewable, because when I tried to upload it once, it didn't work when I tested it, and I accidentally clicked on continue the upload, so I've requested it to be deleted. Can anyone help?

If I'm understanding you correctly:

Exporting in WMM2
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... xport.html

Exporting in WMM2
http://amv.dwp.filetap.com/
Go to Resources on the site's side column, click Guides, then DownWithPants' report on exporting with WMM.

If you follow the guide, you can see how you can work out your final file format/compression/etc.

Thanks, I'll be looking into that. This is by far, going to be my favorite video no matter what I make, and I hope everyone will feel the same after they watch this. ^_^ Thanks for the help.
