New with a question

Post by Sage Saria » Tue Nov 30, 2004 7:22 pm

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post in, but I'm new and I had a question.

I made a music video a little while ago, but it's of the old Legend of Zelda cartoon from the 80s. Would that could for an AMV?

Nope, its an american cartoon, and only japanese anime is considered for this site.

So it was American.

Isn't the newer one from Japan, though (even though it's terrible).

You're forgetting this AMV:

That's what I thought....
Somebody said I should send it to an AMV site, and the Zelda games are from Japan, but I wanted to be sure first.

Thanks!

Aren't most American cartoons animated in Korea?

I would rather see anime become a genre and not a geographic designation but, oh well :)

I asked AD a while back whether my video which used
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker was allowed footage.

He said Zelda was considered anime.

Now, I don't know whether he meant Zelda footage in general, or Zelda: Windwaker (this game originated from Japan) specifically.

But if this 80's Zelda you're talking about was indeed an american cartoon which did not originate from japanese artists, you can't have them here.

Hmm, well Zelda might be considered anime by whoever is in charge of that stuff... I dunno. Since the original Zelda property was Japanese, perhaps American-derivative works are allowed as well ^^

Oh, and another note:

Some Zelda games are from Japan indeed- which would be ok here;

but that can't really support the american cartoon Zelda
to be allowed here. They're different things.
