There are people on this forum that have gone TDY/deployed and have access to the site. Internet connections are available at most overseas locations now, including Iraq. Even then, most deployments are around 6 months in length or less so this really isn't a problem.post-it wrote:- OK, I'm understanding the basic question and agree with the "log-in" value
for downloading as an Active Marker.. My thinking on this would
not be for the General Public, I'm thinking of the Armed Forces people who
are sometimes TDY or go oversea's and do not have access for 6 months to
3 years at a time.. If a "clause" were asked when they sign-up
that had a "checked location" saying "Active Military and/or National Guard"
were part of the Sign-up + the Log-In on that persons "name" - could that
account then be easier to manage?

because most people who are active duty have no control over where or when
they are being sent somewhere and/or what they can/can't take with them!

As for myself I ran into this situation a few months ago when I wanted to change my name. This person originally had the account name though they hadn't logged in for over 2 years. Ultimately it is up to you, the admins, to decide but I personally feel that if the user hasn't logged into the site for a year and a half, hasn't made any ops, hasn't made any videos, and has less than 30 forum posts then a name change should be allowed.
