Are There Any Conventions In the IL, MO, or KY Area?

Are there going to be any conventions in Illinois, Missouri, or Kentucky? I've never been to one, and I really want to go. I just wanted to know if it was possible, which I highly doubt unless they did it in Chicago or St. Louis.

Illinois has anime sound and vision which is taking place this weekend
Anime Reactor just took place last month also in chicago
Sugoicon is taking place this weekend just on the kentucky/ohio border
Anime Central was mentioned already and is in May

Missouri lacks an anime con but if you are in the St Louis area Anime Iowa is not any further than the ones mentioned in IL or Kentucky.

However most of these save acen is held in the autumn meaning you are just missing out on them sadly. But it gives you time to prepare for next year.

There's also a convention called Ikasucon. I've never been there, so I can't tell you much about it except that it's a newer convention.

Don't forget the Archon Sci-Fi convention in Collinsville, IL every October.

I really don't know if you need to know this, but if it makes you feel any better, there's a comic-con coming up in K.C. next weekend. Might be some manga addicts there...

I don't really know much about it, but I have friends going, and I could probably get the details if you're interested. It's not straight-out anime, but there might be anime fans. Can't promise more than that. Sorry.
