x2, although considering that the release date for these movies has been changed more times than Arafat's life expectancy, I won't believe anything I hear until I see the DVDs on the shelves.Kalium wrote:I'm more excited about this one.

I absolutely cant WAIT till the
new movie comes out.

But anyways, great additions of movies to be produced/
Hopefully Disney will do a great job.

I'm growing really really envious of the location you live in dokool.
:p
first the Pillows concert and now this.....mutter..mutter..
As for an US release date, I do not know of any that will premiere "Howl no Ugoku Shiro" any time soon.
I'm under the assumption that the Japan DVDs will come out before it premieres here. So I'm planning to buy an import DVD of that from Jp as fast as I can get my hands on it.
And besides, I won't be able to stand watching a subbed or dubbed japanese anime in a movie theater.
:p
Ahh well, nonetheless, it's still exciting for me to
wait for the movie to premiere out, even if its happening in Japan.

It's so weird walking through the DVD stores and seeing the racks of Ghibli stuff (Including tons of Ghibli movies I've never seen and/or heard of).AMVfreak wrote:I'm under the assumption that the Japan DVDs will come out before it premieres here. In terms of how long you might have to wait for the DVD, I just looked up the dates for Spirited Away as comparison: Opened in theaters on July 20th, 2001, JP R2 DVD released on July 19th, 2002. Exactly one year.
However, this year, the Casshern movie (live-action and kickass) was released in theaters on April 24th and released on DVD on October 23rd, which is exactly 6 months.
So, when Howl comes out on DVD is anyone's guess. I'm willing to bet closer to 6 months than one year, but I doubt I'll be able to pick it up here.
