Are Ryuusuke and his sister intended to be maybe Brits or Americans in BECK? The voice actors' english has an accent, so I can't tell the creator's intention for these characters. Does anyone know their nationality?
Thanx

Thanx. Based upon the plot, the characters are definitely not meant to be born and raised in Japan, but as you say, they are also clearly not drawn to be blatant foreigners either...
There's references that Ryuusuke's Japanese "is getting better", he and his sister dont write with kanji, they speak fluent english...

I think they're American myself. maybe that's because of the opening song (god i love it) but i think that if they're British i would have heard some type of idiom by now. they seem to use the f word just about enough for them to be American. besides i think they say it in the series. don't know where though.
